Another year around the sun... and so much to be grateful for. ☀️🎂
It doesn’t matter how old I’m turning or how many birthdays I’ve celebrated before — what truly matters is how I’ve lived through those years, the people who stood by me, and the ones who chose to stay.
This year, I’ve realized something deeper than ever:
It’s not blood alone that defines family. It’s those heart-to-heart connections — the people who show up, stay real, hold space, and never let you feel alone… even when you’re far from home.
To my people in this foreign land who’ve become my family — thank you. You’ve given me comfort, warmth, laughter, love, and memories that I’ll hold on to forever. You’ve never let me feel the distance from home, and that is a gift I’ll never stop being grateful for.
Some people ask me, “Why celebrate birthdays when we’re just getting older every year?”
But for me — I celebrate survival, evolution and gratitude.
I celebrate making it through another 365 days of growth, change, loss, love, and resilience. I celebrate who I’ve become, and I welcome the new year in my life with open arms and an open heart.
From the bottom of my heart — thank you to every single person who messaged, called, surprised me, or just took a moment to wish me. From the very first minute in Indian time to midnight across continents — your love has touched me in ways words can’t explain.
You made my day feel so full and alive.
I don’t know if I’ll ever be able to give it back the same way, but I promise to try — with kindness, with time, with love.
Here’s to staying grounded.
To watering what waters you.
To choosing people who choose you.
To growing wiser, dreaming bigger, loving harder — and to living life with a full heart.
Let’s keep it real, keep it kind, and keep showing up for each other.
