ASSISTANT ENGINEER (P.R), ELIGEDU MANDAL I/C KALVASRIRAMPUR & ODELA MANDALS, O/O THE DY.EXECUTIVE ENGINEER, PANCHAYATH RAJ, SUB-DIVISION, PEDDAPALLI, PEDDAPALLI DISTRICT IN ACB NET
On 12-07-2025,, the Accused Officer: Sri Pendota Jagadesh Babu,: Assistant Engineer (P.R), Eligedu Mandal I/c of Kalvasrirampur & Odela Mandals, O/o the Dy. Executive Engineer, Panchayath Raj, Sub-Division, Peddapalli, Peddapalli District was caught red handed by ACB, Karimnagar Range, when he demanded an amount of Rs. 1,00,000/- and accepted Rs.90,000/- as bribe from the complainant for showing an official favour i.e., "to record the CC road work executed by the complainant in the Measurement Book (MB) and to forward the same to the Dy. Executive Engineer, Sub-Division, Peddapalli, Peddapalli District".
The tainted bribe amount of Rs.90,000/- was recovered from the AO at his instance. The left hand fingers of the AO yielded positive result in the chemical test. Thus, the AO performed his duty improperly and dishonestly to obtain undue advantage.
Therefore, the AO is being arrested and produced before the Hon'ble Special Judge for SPE & ACB cases, Karimnagar. The case is under investigation. The details of the complainant are withheld for security reasons.
