Extortion Case Registered Against Self-Styled YouTube Reporter in Shalibanda:

An extortion case has been registered at Shalibanda Police Station against Mohammed Bilal, who was projecting himself as a YouTube reporter. As per the complaint, the accused allegedly demanded ₹35,000 from one party by falsely claiming that he could “manage” their case at the police station and ensure that they would not be arrested. He reportedly threatened that if the amount was not paid, he would get them arrested. It is further alleged that he intimidated the complainant on several occasions in this manner. Based on the evidence, the accused has been arrested in the case.

DCP South Zone, Sri Kiran Khare, IPS, stated that it has come to notice that a few individuals, in the name of reporters or media persons, are indulging in illegal activities such as case settlement, extortion, and collection of mamool. He made it clear that such activities will not be tolerated under any circumstances. Strict legal action will be taken against anyone found involved in such practices.

The DCP further appealed to the public that if anyone has information regarding such illegal activities or is being threatened or extorted in the name of media or influence, they should immediately inform the police or directly bring it to his notice. The police will ensure prompt action and protection to the informants.

At least 13 people were killed and more than 70 injured in multi-vehicle collision involving Mathura due to dense fog.

A massive multi-vehicle collision involving eight buses and three cars occurred near Milestone 127 in the Baldev area due to dense fog. At least 13 people were killed and more than 70 injured. Many victims were charred to death as several vehicles caught fire immediately after the impact. Medical teams are using DNA samples to identify the deceased, as many remains are unrecognizable.

A diesel tanker exploded in Maharashtra's Beed district on Friday, setting off a massive blaze in the Manjarsumba Ghat area. In a chilling incident of daylight brutality, a 54-year-old realtor was allegedly stabbed to de@th by a group of unidentified assailants on the main road at Saket Colony in Jawaharnagar on Monday morning.

The victim, G Venkata Ratnam, a resident of Saket, was returning home on his scooter after dropping his daughter at school when he was ambushed.

A massive fire erupted at a nightclub in North Goa just before midnight on Saturday, leaving 25 people dead and six injured. The initial police probe found that the blaze was caused by a fire show with “electric firecrackers”, organised without precautions or permits at the Birch by Romeo Lane nightclub in Arpora, 25 km from Panaji.
