DM Ramban Mohammad Alyas Khan (JKAS) has imposed a complete ban on swimming, bathing, fishing & roaming near River Chenab and other nallahs across District Ramban to prevent loss of lives. Strict action will be taken against violators. The public is urged to follow the safety advisory. The SSP Ramban, SDMs, SDPOs, Tehsildars, Naib Tehsildars, SHOs & I/C Police Posts shall ensure strict implementation of the order in their jurisdictions.

A Maharashtra-based man lost nearly ₹2 lakh after he opened a wedding invite that was sent to him on WhatsApp. "Shadi mein zarur aye...Love is...master key that opens gate of happiness," the invite read. The message included a supposed PDF, but it was actually an APK file disguised as wedding card to hack into users' phones and steal sensitive data.

Deputy Commissioner Ramban, Mohammad Alyas Khan, along with Senior Superintendent of Police Ramban, Arun Gupta, and ADC Varunjeet Singh Charak, today visited Sarbagni area of Sub-Division Ramsoo to assess the situation arising out of the massive landslide that occurred yesterday.

During the visit, the Deputy Commissioner took stock of the affected area and directed the concerned officers to take all precautionary and safety measures to prevent any untoward incident.

The DC and SSP also interacted with the evacuated families presently accommodated at the temporary lodgement centre established at Government High School, Ramsoo. He assured the affected people that the District Administration is taking all necessary measures to ensure their safety and providing them adequate boarding, lodging, and other essential facilities.

It is pertinent to mention that, following the landslide in Sarbagni yesterday, the District Administration promptly shifted 93 members of 30 families to safer locations and arranged all necessary facilities for them at the lodgement centre.

The Deputy Commissioner further directed SDM Ramsoo Mazahir Kazmi and the Chief Medical Officer to ensure quality healthcare and other essential services for the evacuated families.

Deputy Commissioner Ramban Mohammad Alyas Khan, along with Commander 11 Sector RR Chanderkote, SSP Arun Gupta, ADC VarunJeet Singh Charak & PD NHAI Shubam Yadav, inspected the Karoal-Maitra-Gool Road at Batti to explore options for restoring connectivity at the stretch washed away by recent Chenab floods. The Army was called to take immediate measures.
Given its strategic importance, this road is crucial for supplies to Sub-Division Gool, various areas of Tehsil Ramban, and National Projects including the Railway line & Sawalkote Hydro Project.

Er.Kuljeet Singh just 28 years old S/o Sh. Om Singh Bali, a Pujari of Kul Devta from Muthlal (Alinbass), Tehsil Pogal Paristan (Ukhral), District Ramban, is battling a brain tumor for the third time 😔. His treatment was earlier ongoing at PGI Chandigarh, but he has now been referred to Fortis Hospital, Gurgaon (Delhi NCR), where he is currently undergoing treatment.

The expenses for surgery, treatment, and ongoing care are extremely high and beyond his financial capacity. Being the sole breadwinner and only son of his family, he is in urgent need of our support. Any contribution, big or small, will go a long way in helping him continue his treatment

Today, a meeting of the Shri Amar Kshatriya (Rajput) Sabha, Ramban, was convened under the presidentship of Shri Karan Dev Singh. The meeting witnessed the active participation of various Shakha Sabha Presidents along with esteemed members of the community.
