DIG JAMMU-SAMBA-KATHUA RANGE, JAMMU REVIEW SECURITY ARRANGEMENTS IN RAM MANDIR PURANI MANDI, GEETA BHAWAN PARADE, AND BASE CAMP BHAGWATI NAGAR, JAMMU IN VIEW OF FORTHCOMING SHRI AMARNATH JI YATRA 2025.*

Today Shiv Kumar Sharma (IPS) DIG Jammu-Samba-Kathua Range conducted a security review of Ram Mandir Purani Mandi, Geeta Bhawan Parade and Base Camp Bhagwati Nagar, Jammu. During the review, DIG JSK Range inspected the Guards deployed in and around the base Camp, enroute checking, CCTV Cameras installed, Parking area, etc.
Shiv Kumar Sharma, imparted the necessary directions to officers for making foolproof security arrangements in and around the venues. Besides, necessary briefing has also been given to the officers/nafri deployed on the venues with regard to the sensitivity and nature of duty.
During his security Checking He also interacted with officers/nafri of CISF deployed in Ram Mandir Purani Mandi Jammu, they were directed to remain extra alert on their points, Moreover, all the officers were directed to strengthen all the nakas especially during night hours. They were also directed to identify places where more nakas can be established for the security of yatries.
SHO Pacca Danga Insp. Rakesh Jamwal, SHO Nowabad Insp Deepak Pathania, Incharge Police Post Canal PSI Vikram Manhas and Incharge Police Post Pouni chack PSI Amreek Singh were also present on their concerned venue.

Two vehicles seized with illegally transported Khair Billets and Tunu Wood in Tehsil Bhalwal.

Acting on specific information, a team of the Forest Department, under the close supervision of the Range Officer (RO) Jammu and under overall supervision of Divisional Forest Officer, Jammu, successfully intercepted and seized a Maruti SX4 (Reg No. JK02AM - 5101) and truck (Reh No. PB06BH-2502 for illegally transporting Khair Stuff and tunu wood in Block Manawar.

The operation was executed during night hours on 15.06.2025 by Block Officer Manawar Vikram Charak with the assistance of Beat Guard Vipan Jamwal, Rajeshwar Singh, Tarun khajuria and staff of Nagrota-I Raiz Ahmed, Ashok kumar and Mohd Akbar. Upon inspection, the vehicles were found loaded with Khair billets and tunu wood , which were being transported without valid documentation, in violation of the Indian Forest Act (IFA).

As per legal provisions, confiscation proceedings have been promptly initiated against the offenders. The seized vehicles and illicit forest produce have been taken into official custody for further legal action.

The Forest Department remains committed to strict enforcement of forest protection laws and urges the public to report any suspicious activities related to illegal timber extraction and transportation. Such proactive measures are crucial in safeguarding forest resources and preventing ecological degradation.

*Jammu Police Solved a Sensational Chain Snatching Case in Durga Nagar, Chinore.Gold Chain Worth Lakhs Recovered.*

On June 4, 2025, a shocking chain snatching incident occurred in Durga Nagar, Chinore, causing fear and concern among local residents. Two unidentified individuals on a scooty brazenly snatched a gold chain worth lakhs from a woman while she was waiting for her children near a school bus stop. The accused also brandished a *sharp-edged weapon (toka)* to intimidate the victim before fleeing.

To avoid detection, the suspects wore helmets and had deliberately removed the scooty’s number plate. The scooty was later found abandoned in an isolated location in Janipur.

Acting swiftly, *SP Rural Jammu Sh. Brijesh Sharma JKPS* formed a dedicated investigation team led by SDPO Domana, SHO Domana, and the In-Charge Police Post (ICPP) Chinore. Under close supervision, the team conducted a comprehensive investigation, analyzing footage from over 300-400 CCTV cameras and utilizing technical intelligence.

Their efforts led to the identification and arrest of two accused:-

*1.Ajit Sharma,* S/O Tirth Ram, R/O Janipur Disco Road
*2.Sahil Khan,* S/O Khurshid Ahmed, R/O Kamini Market, Nagrota

Following their arrest, the team recovered the gold chain worth lakhs and the weapon (toka) used in the crime. Additionally, two vehicles involved in the incident were seized.

*1)Scooty (Reg. No. JK02BM 4397)reportedly stolen from the Jurisdiction of PS Janipur.*
*2)Auto (Reg.No.JK02DP 6417)* used during the commission of the crime.

*Moreover, with regard to the public parade, it is clarified that both the accused were taken for recovery and other legal formalities.*

The successful resolution of the case in a short span has been widely appreciated by the local community. Residents have lauded the Jammu Police for their commitment, professionalism, and swift action, which have helped restore public confidence.

🚨 | केदारनाथ मार्ग पर हेलीकॉप्टर क्रैश, 7 की मौत 🕯️

रविवार सुबह उत्तराखंड में गौरीकुंड और त्रिजुगीनारायण के बीच एक दर्दनाक हादसा हुआ, जहां आर्यन कंपनी का एक हेलीकॉप्टर खराब मौसम के कारण क्रैश हो गया।

💔 इस हादसे में 7 लोगों की मौत की पुष्टि हुई है।
🆘 हादसे की सूचना घास काटने गई महिलाओं ने दी, जिसके बाद बचाव दल मौके पर पहुंच चुका है।
🚁 हेलीकॉप्टर देहरादून से केदारनाथ जा रहा था और गौरीकुंड के पास लापता हो गया था।

जम्मू, चिनोर:
चिनोर के दुर्गा नगर इलाके में हाल ही में हुई गोल्ड चेन स्नैचिंग की घटना में बड़ी सफलता हासिल करते हुए जम्मू पुलिस ने दो आरोपियों को गिरफ्तार कर लिया है।

👉 SP Rural Jammu के नेतृत्व में पुलिस टीम ने तेजी से कार्रवाई करते हुए इस मामले का सुराग लगाया और दोनों आरोपियों को धर दबोचा।

*Jammu Police, South Zone and District Administration Strikes at Root of Drug Syndicate; Bulldozed and Razed Illegally Constructed Property on State Land of a Notorious Drug Peddler*

In a decisive crackdown on narco-funded illegal assets and state land encroachment, Jammu Police, South Zone and District Administration under the leadership of DM Jammu Sh. Sachin Kumar Vaishya-IAS and SSP Jammu _Sh. Joginder Singh–JKPS_ through a team led by SP City South _Sh. Ajay Sharma–JKPS_, Tehsildar Jammu Khas _Sh. Paramdeep Singh-JKAS_ SDPO South _Sh. Sunil Singh Jasrotia_ and all SHOs and ICPPs of South Zone Police today demolished illegal constructions raised by a notorious drug peddler on encroached state land in the JD of PP Phallian Mandal and PS Satwari, Jammu.

The action was an outcome of investigation in Case FIR No. 59/2025 U/S 8/21/22/25 NDPS Act registered at PS Gandhi Nagar , which led to the arrest and further financial probe of accused Mohd Sadeeq @ Githa S/o Abdul Ghani R/o Belicharana , Nikki Tawi, Jammu. He is also involved in another FIR under NDPS of PS Bakshinagar Investigations revealed that the accused, a habitual offender in narcotics trade, had constructed structures on state land using money earned through drug trafficking.

District Administration and Jammu Police have shown no leniency in dealing with such elements. This action forms part of Jammu Police’s focused campaign to strike at both the narcotics network and the economic backbone of drug traffickers, including assets acquired through proceeds of crime.

“We will not let drug money take root in our soil. Jammu Police will go after every illegal gain of drug dealers—be it cash, vehicles, or land. Jammu Police is actively identifying, tracing, and initiating action against properties, bank accounts, and movable assets acquired through illegal drug trade across South Zone.” said SP City South

Under the strategic direction of SSP Jammu, the South Zone Police under the command of SP South has continued to deliver decisive blows to criminal syndicates, ensuring that the message of zero tolerance toward Drugs, Gangsters, Crime and Illegal encroachment is loud and clear.
