On 5th November 2025, Mr. Nossang Limboo (OSD to M.P), Ms. Kunzang Yangchen Bhutia (Library Assistant), and Mr. Sonam Pintsho Sherpa visited our school. The team conducted a thorough inspection of the stock of items handed over to the school by the Honourable Member of Parliament (Lok Sabha), Shri Indra Hang S***a.

During the visit, Mr. Nossang Limboo also interacted with the students and shared valuable insights about the importance of reading and the effective use of library resources. He encouraged everyone to make full use of the well-equipped library and to cultivate regular reading habits for overall academic and personal growth.

The visit was both informative and motivating, inspiring students and staff to take greater interest in developing a strong reading culture within the school.

Tashiding Senior Secondary School successfully organized a hands-on training session for its students on 30th October 2025. The training focused on making eco-friendly button flowers using corn husk. This programme was conducted as part of the Environmental Education Programme and Mission LiFE (Lifestyle for Environment) initiative, under the directive of the Forest and Environment Department, Government of Sikkim.

The main objective of the session was to promote creativity, environmental awareness, and the use of sustainable materials among students. Participants actively engaged in the activity and learned the process of transforming corn husks into attractive decorative button flowers.

The training not only encouraged artistic expression but also emphasized the importance of recycling and adopting eco-friendly practices in daily life. The event concluded successfully with great enthusiasm and appreciation from both students and teachers.

Government Senior Secondary School, Tashiding has been honored with a ‘Certificate of Appreciation’ by the District Education Office, Gyalshing, in recognition of its consistent efforts in implementing the Ek Bharat Shrestha Bharat (EBSB) program.
Ek Bharat Shrestha Bharat programme, aims to actively enhance interaction between people of diverse cultures living in different States and UTs in India, with the objective of promoting greater mutual understanding amongst them. As per the programme, each year, every State/UT would be paired with another State/UT in India for reciprocal interaction between the people.
Sikkim state is paired with Delhi so the EBSB Club of Government Senior Secondary School, Tashiding has actively participated in and regularly conducted various activities under the EBSB initiative.
On 9th December 2024, Miss Usha S***a (Nodal Teacher EBSB Tashiding SSS) also participated in EBSB Teacher Exchange Program-2024 to Delhi.
This recognition highlights the school's dedication to the vision of the Ek Bharat Shrestha Bharat program and its commitment to nurturing a sense of national pride and cultural respect among students.
The school expresses its gratitude to the District Education Office, Gyalshing, Mr. Sushil Tamang (State Coordinator EBSB) and Mr Rajesh Thapa (JD & District Coordinator EBSB) for the encouragement and support, and looks forward to continuing its efforts in the spirit of unity and educational excellence.

We were honored to have Stars of Hope NGO Chairman, Shri Bikash Thapa , along with other members, visit our school today. 🙏 They generously donated books for Classes X to XII and umbrellas for our primary students. 📚☂️

Our Principal, SMC Chairman, and teachers warmly welcomed them and expressed heartfelt gratitude for their valuable contributions towards our students’ learning and well-being. 💐

A hands-on skilling workshop on alternatives to single-use plastic was organized by the Forest and Environment Department, Government of Sikkim, under the Environment Education Programme and Mission LiFE. The workshop focused on crafting eco-friendly products such as button flowers from corn husk and ladies’ hair clips from bamboo. Palkey Bhutia and Tshering Yangden Bhutia of Class XI Arts, along with Green Teacher Miss Shobha Gurung, proudly represented our school and actively participated in the training. Participants were given full hands-on experience with proper materials and expert guidance from skilled resource persons. The main objective was to empower students with practical, eco-friendly skills that can also support income generation for themselves and their schools. A key takeaway was the commitment to replicate and implement these sustainable practices within our school. We extend our heartfelt gratitude to the Forest and Environment Department for their commendable effort in organizing such a meaningful workshop, and we are dedicated to carrying forward this initiative in our school community with the same spirit and enthusiasm.

We are delighted to share that our school secured First Position in the Instrumental Music (Group) category at the State Level Kala Utsav 2025, held on 11th October 2025 at PM SHRI Sir Tashi Namgyal Senior Secondary School, Gangtok! 🏆🎵

Our talented students have also been selected to represent the state at the National Level Kala Utsav 2025! 🇮🇳🌟

A heartfelt thanks to Mr. Deependra Pradhan (PGT English) for his invaluable guidance and mentorship throughout the journey. 🙏
We also extend our gratitude to Mr. Samir Sanyasi for voluntarily teaching flute 🎶 and Mr. K.B. Rai for teaching sarangi 🎻 to our students.

In the District Level Science Drama-2025 🧪🎭 organized by SCERT in collaboration with NCSM, Ministry of Culture, Government of India, our school proudly secured the 1st Position! 🏆👏

The event was held on 10th September 2025 across all six districts with the inspiring theme – “Science and Technology for the Benefit of Mankind.” 🌍🔬💡
