July 2, 2025: Residents of Chivili in the hilly Ukhral block of Ramban district welcomed a major boost to local infrastructure today with the inauguration of the newly reconstructed foot bridge over the Chaka Nallah.

The much-awaited bridge was inaugurated in a small yet spirited ceremony attended by local officials, community leaders, and villagers. Built with durable steel supports and improved flood-resistance measures, the bridge replaces an older, deteriorated structure that had become unsafe, especially during monsoon season.
Improving Daily Commutes
The bridge is a vital link for schoolchildren, farmers, and daily commuters who had long faced challenges navigating the area. For many, this means safer and more reliable access to education, markets, and essential services.

Muharram Preparations Reviewed in Ramban.
MLA Ramban and DC Ramban Lead Coordination Efforts.
Ramban:- July 1 — In a proactive move to ensure smooth and respectful observance of Muharram, MLA Ramban Advocate Arjun Singh Raju and Deputy Commissioner Ramban conducted a comprehensive review of arrangements at Imambargah Chanderkote.

The review meeting focused on critical civic and safety measures, with directions issued for uninterrupted water and power supply, enhanced sanitation, medical aid availability, and robust security and traffic management during the religious period.

Additional Deputy Commissioner Varunjeet Singh Charak and senior officials from various departments were present to coordinate efforts and ensure timely implementation of directives. The administration emphasized inter-departmental synergy to maintain public convenience and uphold the sanctity of the occasion.
This initiative reflects the district’s commitment to communal harmony and efficient governance ahead of the sacred month.
