Film Baithak invites you to a special screening of *Mangta Jogi*, followed by an interaction with filmmaker **Sudhir Singh**.
Set in the socio-cultural landscape around Varanasi, *Mangta Jogi* tells the story of **Ghasita**, who returns to his village after years away only to find his family struggling with poverty. In desperation, he reconnects with an old friend running a begging network — leading him into a morally complex journey about survival, dignity, family responsibility, and the invisible economies that exist around us. The film blends satire, realism and emotional depth to reflect on rural aspirations and social contradictions. ()
Written and directed by **Sudhir Singh**, the film represents a grounded voice from the region and engages with questions of livelihood, ethics, and humanity through an intimate family narrative set in eastern Uttar Pradesh.
