Do you know which studio was here ? Famous Music Director Hemant Kumar's ( Banglar Hemanta Mukherjee ) Bungalow and Geetanjali Studio was here. Many Bollywood celebrities were once given a break and shelter by him during their struggling days. Some Famous songs like Yaad Kiya dil ne, Ye Raat ye chand and many more composed by late Hemant Kumar were recorded here. Yesterday was lucky for me to be invited in that house by Actress Moushumi Chatterjee. I visited there after around 2 years. I met her husband Jayant Mukherjee, son of Hemant Mukherjee and herself and had a wonderful lunch. The menu was made according to my choice and i loved them all through. Specially i wanted Aam chutni and she herself made it for me. After the lunch, had a great adda and talking to her is a different fun altogether because of her amazing sense of humor. Moushumi ji is getting fitter and will be meeting her again soon.

Today is 104th Birth Anniversary of the Legendary Singer Hemant Kumar. Hemanta Mukhopadhyay (16 June 1920 – 26 September 1989), known professionally as Hemant Kumar and Hemanta Mukherjee, was a legendary Indian music director and playback singer who primarily sang in Bengali and Hindi, as well as other Indian languages like Marathi, Gujarati, Odia, Assamese, Tamil, Punjabi, Bhojpuri, Konkani, Sanskrit and Urdu. He was an artist of Bengali and Hindi film music, Rabindra Sangeet, and many other genres. He was the recipient of two National Awards for Best Male Playback Singer and was popularly known as the "voice of God"
