'Pink' movie review by Itihaas Gumma.
What is power?
Having strength greater than the strongest maybe called power. But what generally happens is the strength is exhibited, not on the strongest, but on the weakest.
Is it right to use an axe to break a matchstick? Well, it is'nt.
Is it right to exercise the power of influence to win over commoners?
Is it right to showcase brute, animal force on weaklings to have egotistical pleasure? No! not at all.
The fight between innocent blood and savage blood is the movie "PINK".
Why should a man be proud over woman? Is it because he cant be sexually harassed by them.
Is it because he is sexually unaffected and cant be r***d by the women? If these are the reasons, then its a great great shame for the humans who are masculine by nature.
Today's societies vista is in such a way that, if a man drinks, he is in a melancholy mood or addict....but if a woman drinks, it is the display of inner intensions that she is sexually accessible. If she moves freely with boys, if she talks to them with a smilling face, etc.....all these are understood as signals to attract other gender. Why these acts should be deciphered in a crooked manner.
Bad Habits, like drinking and smoking, are bad unbiased of the gender.
Women should be careful while moving with men, because they can harm her. But why, in the god's name, any man would try to harm woman. Is it because he is easily sexually aroused by any women moving beside? and when he is aroused, nothing can stop him, not even the so called stern laws put by the government.
I am'nt judging or telling that every man is the same, but about some bad humans, who are unfortunately born as males.
What if fate drags three common girls in a clash against such an insane men. That could be a movie, and its name would be "PINK"
The characters of three girls harassed by the male dominance are portrayed by Taapsee Pannu( as the lead by the name Minal Arora) and her friends Kirti Kulhari( as Falak ali) and Andrea Tariang( as Andrea). Angad Bedi portrays the negative role as the son of a powerful politician in delhi by the name Rajveer.
Rajveer and his friends harass the three girls and also try to corner them legally that they are blackmailing him for money.
Once renowned lawyer, Deepak Sehgal( Amitabh Bachchan ) comes to rescue the girls.
There are'nt any commercial visuals in the film but this court room drama is so well knit that you wont get bored of it throughout.
The film is very gripping from the first scene. As strong minded, women with self respect, who wont endure a small blot on their character, Tapsee pannu and the others did a fantastically efficient job.
Why do superstars are called so?
Is it because they are truely good in their job, or for the fact that they dont act but live the role. I dont know but Amitabh ji deserves the title. As an oldman with bipolar disorder( a pshycological disease which causes frequent ups and downs of moods ), a retired lawyer of repute in the past, Amitabh is miraculous. The way in which he ties the knot around the neck of the wrong doers with his seemingly irrelevant interrogation is wondrous. In a scene where he questions the female haryanvi cop named Sarla premchand, the way he corners her is irresistible. "Efficient" is the word suitable to describe this movie.
Full of thought proviking scenes about the attitude of society towards modern women, this film is a fine work.
And finally the scenes where Amitabh describes about the word "NO", that the word itself is a complete statement, that when a person rejects something, he means it, and has nothing to do with any logics, that whatever the situation maybe, "NO means NO alone" is is magnificient.
The background score is fantabulously composed that it truely belongs to the visuals.
Hatsoff to "Aniruddha Roy Chowdhury" for directing such a masterpiece.
"PINK" is a film, you "MUST WATCH" this year.
