An employee of the Visakhapatnam Steel Plant, who went missing two days ago, was found dead.

According to reports, the employee, P. Ravikumar went out and did not return home. His wife lodged a complaint and the police registered a missing case.

Following information that a body was found near Atchutapuram, the police went to the spot and identified it as that of Ravikumar.

The fifth edition of the Andhra Premier League (APL) will be held from June 9 to 30.

The tournament will be held in three cities -- Visakhapatnam, Kadapa, and Mangalagiri.

Matches will be played at the ACA-VDCA Cricket Stadium (Visakhapatnam) from June 9 to14, the Kadapa stadium from June 17 to 21, and the Mangalagiri Stadium from June 24 to 30.

Seven teams -- Simhadri Vizag Lions, Kakinada Kings, Capital Amaravati Royals, Vijayawada Sunshiners, Bhimavaram Bulls, Tungabhadra Warriors and Royals of Rayalaseema, will compete for the cup.

Quick commerce platform Instamart has witnessed a 150% surge in protein-related orders over the last two years, highlighting India’s growing shift toward health-conscious eating habits.

To ease the passenger rush in this summer, the East Coast Railway has decided to operate a one-way special train from Visakhapatnam to Kacheguda on May 30.

The train (No. 08521) will depart in Visakhapatnam at 5.30 p.m. and reach Kacheguda at 9.45 a.m. the next day, according to a press note issued by the railways.

The district administration is on high alert as there is a possibility of someone from Africa, where Ebola virus is active, coming to the city with the symptoms of the epidemic.
