- الشباب والنساء، طاقة التغيير التي تبني العدالة وتزرع الاستقرار المستدام!
في إطار مشروع "مبادرة" لتعزيز بيئة تمكينية للمجتمع المدني في العراق، أقامت منظمة جلسة طاولة مستديرة في مدينة الرمادي لمناقشة تعزيز مشاركة المنظمات الشبابية والنسائية في التنمية الاجتماعية والاقتصادية.
شارك في الجلسة ممثلون عن السلطات المحلية، بحضور عضو مجلس محافظة الانبار ورئيس لجنة العمل والمنظمات والضمان الاجتماعي وحضور مدير قسم شؤون المنظمات ومدير المركز المشترك للتنسيق والرصد في الأنبار (JCMC) ومنظمات المجتمع المدني، والنشطاء المجتمعيين، والأوساط الأكاديمية.
ركزت الجلسة على تحديد التحديات والعقبات الرئيسية التي تواجه مشاركة المنظمات الشبابية والنسائية في التنمية المحلية. ومناقشة إنشاء آلية تنسيق محلية مستدامة بين المجتمع المدني والسلطات في الرمادي، وتحديد آليات العمل والمتابعة المستقبلية، حيث تأتي هذه الجلسة من أجل تعزيز الحوار والتعاون بين السلطات المحلية ومنظمات المجتمع المدني نحو تنمية أكثر شمولًا واستدامة في العراق.
هذا النشاط في إطار مشروع "مبادرة" الذي تنفّذه منظمة بالشراكة مع منظمة أفق ومنظمة السلام والحرية وبتمويل من الاتحاد الأوربي.
- Youth and Women: The Driving Force of Change that Builds Justice and Cultivates Sustainable Stability!
As part of the “Mubadara” project to enhance an enabling environment for civil society in Iraq, the organization held a roundtable session in the city of Ramadi to discuss strengthening the participation of youth and women’s organizations in social and economic development.
The session was attended by representatives of local authorities, including a member of the Anbar Provincial Council and the Head of the Committee on Labor, Organizations, and Social Security, as well as the Director of the Department of NGO Affairs, the Director of the Joint Coordination and Monitoring Center (JCMC) in Anbar, civil society organizations, community activists, and members of the academic community.
The discussion focused on identifying the main challenges and obstacles that hinder the participation of youth and women’s organizations in local development. It also addressed the establishment of a sustainable local coordination mechanism between civil society and local authorities in Ramadi, in addition to defining future work and follow-up mechanisms.
This session comes as part of ongoing efforts to strengthen dialogue and cooperation between local authorities and civil society organizations toward more inclusive and sustainable development in Iraq.

- المجتمع المدني من الركود إلى النشاط، من الواقع إلى الإعلام!
من أجل التعريف بالحملة الإعلامية"مدني" والتي تسعى لتعزيز مفهوم المجتمع المدني في العراق والترويج له، أقامت منظمة السلام والحرية جلسة حوارية للتعريف بالحملة الإعلامية "تعزيز بيئة تمكينية للمجتمع المدني في العراق".
تضمّنت الجلسة عرض حول حملة مدني قدّمه الدكتور كيفي مجيد منسّق المشروع، عرض عن حملة مدني قدّمته منسّقة الحملة نيدار سعيد، وبعدها حلقة نقاشية حول: المشاكل المالية التي تواجه المنظمات غير الحكومية في إقليم كردستان العراق - التحديات والحلول بمشاركة كلّ من - السيدة بهار خان، رئيسة منظمة إيما، - السيد هوشيار مالو، رئيس منظمة كوردستان لحقوق الإنسان وهاردي أحمد نائب رئيس دائرة المنظمات غير الحكومية في إقليم كردستان العراق.
هذا النشاط في إطار مشروع "مبادرة" الذي تنفّذه منظمة بالشراكة مع منظمة أفق ومنظمة السلام والحرية وبتمويل من الاتحاد الأوربي.

- From Stagnation to Action: Civil Society, From Reality to Media!
To introduce the media campaign “Madani”, which aims to promote and strengthen the concept of civil society in Iraq, the PFO held a dialogue session to present the media campaign “Enhancing an Enabling Environment for Civil Society in Iraq.”
The session included a presentation about the “Madani” campaign delivered by Dr. Kayfi Maghdid, the project coordinator, and another presentation by Needar Saeed, the campaign coordinator.
This was followed by a panel discussion titled: “The Financial Challenges Facing Non-Governmental Organizations in the Kurdistan Region of Iraq, Challenges and Solutions. The discussion featured the participation of: Ms. Bahar Khan, President of the EMA Organization, Mr. Hoshyar Malu, President of the Kurdistan Human Rights Organization, and, Hardi Ahmed, Deputy Head of the Department of Non-Governmental Organizations in the Kurdistan Region of Iraq.

نجح المجتمع المدني في العراق في ترسيخ الأواصر الاجتماعية بين مختلف مكوّنات الشعب بعد مرحلة الحرب، إذ فتح آفاقاً رحبة للتواصل والتفاعل من خلال ما قدّمه من فعاليات وأنشطة وبرامج تدريبية أسهمت في تعزيز قيم المواطنة والانتماء.
ومع مرور الوقت، أخذ المجتمع المدني العراقي يكتسب أبعاداً اجتماعية وثقافية، بل واقتصادية أيضاً، ليغدو فاعلاً أساسياً في مسيرة بناء مجتمع سلمي يؤمن بالتعددية ويطمح إلى الاستقرار والتنمية.

The civil society in Iraq has succeeded in strengthening the social bonds among the diverse components of the population in the aftermath of war, opening wide horizons for communication and interaction through various activities, events, and training programs that have contributed to fostering the values of citizenship and belonging.
Over time, Iraqi civil society has come to embody social, cultural, and even economic dimensions, establishing itself as a key actor in the process of building a peaceful society that embraces pluralism and aspires to stability and development.

- شباب الأنبار يواصلون مسيرة السلام!

أنا الدكتور طارق حامد الفهداوي من مدينة الفلوجة في محافظة الأنبار. عشتُ سنوات الحرب وما تركته من أثرٍ على الناس والمدن بعد عام 2003، وكنت أتساءل دائمًا: كيف يمكن أن نبدأ من جديد؟ ومع كل جرحٍ مررنا به، كنت أزداد إيمانًا بأن العلم هو الطريق الأقصر إلى السلام. درست القانون الدولي لأفهم كيف يحمي القانون الإنسان وقت الأزمات، ثم واصلت رحلتي الأكاديمية حتى الدكتوراه في أستراليا، حيث أدركت أن البحث العلمي يمكن أن يكون أداة لبناء السلام، لا مجرد نظرية.

بعد عودتي إلى الأنبار، شعرت أن الوقت حان لتحويل المعرفة إلى فعل. فكانت مشاركتي في مشروع "رؤية الشباب" نقطة تحول. المشروع كان مساحة حقيقية جعلت الشباب شركاء في الحوار وصناعة القرار. من خلاله استعدنا ثقة الشباب بالجامعة، وبنينا جسورًا جديدة مع الحكومة المحلية تحت شعار "شباب الأنبار شركاء في القرار".

استندنا إلى القرار الأممي 2250 حول الشباب والسلم والأمن، وطبقنا محاوره الخمسة على أرض الواقع: من تعزيز المشاركة والحماية، إلى الوقاية والتعافي والشراكة. وخرجنا بإنجازات ملموسة، مثل الشروع في تأسيس أول مجلس شبابي استشاري في الأنبار، وتنظيم برامج تدريبية لمواجهة التطرف بالفكر والحوار، لا بالشعارات.

اليوم، أستطيع أن أقول إن الأنبار تمتلك جيلًا جديدًا من الشباب القادرين على التفكير النقدي والمبادرة. لم يعودوا متفرجين، بل قادة حقيقيون في صناعة السلام.

رسالتي لكل الشباب في العراق: "لا تنتظروا التغيير، بل كونوا أنتم صُنّاعه. السلام لا يُمنح، بل يُبنى، وأنتم أساس هذا البناء".
مشروع "رؤية الشباب" تنفّذه وكالة بناء السلام بالتعاون مع منظمة (جسر إلى - UPP الإيطالية) ومؤسسة أشور العراقية للتنمية والإغاثة، وبتمويل من وزارة الخارجية والتعاون الدولي الإيطالية.

- Anbar’s Youth Continue the Journey of Peace!

I am Dr. Tareq Hameed Al-Fahdawi from the city of Fallujah in Anbar Province. I lived through the years of war and witnessed firsthand the scars it left on people and cities after 2003. I always asked myself: how can we begin again? With every wound we endured, my belief grew stronger that knowledge is the shortest path to peace. I studied international law to understand how law can protect human beings in times of crisis, and later pursued my academic journey to a PhD in Australia, where I realized that research can serve as a tool for building peace, not just a theoretical exercise.

When I returned to Anbar, I felt it was time to turn knowledge into action. My participation in the "Ru’yat al-Shabab" Project was a turning point. It created a genuine space where young people became partners in dialogue and decision-making. Through it, we restored youth confidence in the university and built new bridges with local government under the slogan “Anbar Youth are Partners in Decision-Making.

We drew on UN Security Council Resolution 2250 on Youth, Peace, and Security and translated its five pillars participation, protection, prevention, partnership, and recovery into concrete action on the ground. Among the achievements were we thinking to establishment of the first Youth Advisory Council at the Anbar, and the launch of training programs that tackled extremism through knowledge and dialogue, not mere slogans.

Today, I can confidently say that Anbar has a new generation of young people capable of critical thinking and initiative. They are no longer spectators, but real leaders in building peace.

My message to all young people in Iraq: “Do not wait for change be the ones who create it. Peace is not given; it is built, and you are the foundation of that building".

إنَّ الشباب في العراق يشكّلون الركيزة الأساسية لأي نهضة مجتمعية حقيقية، فقد أصبح دورهم في قيادة المجتمع المدني اليوم أكثر حضوراً وفاعلية.
إن تعزيز مفاهيم المجتمع المدني بين المواطنين يعني ترسيخ قيم التعاون، العدالة، والمشاركة، وهي قيم لا يمكن أن تزدهر من دون شبابٍ مبادرين قادرين على تحويل التحديات إلى فرص.
فحين يقود الشباب العمل المدني، فإنهم يرسخون ثقافة المواطنة الفاعلة، ويساهمون في نشر مبادئ الحوار والتسامح، ويضعون أسس التنمية المستدامة التي يحتاجها العراق اليوم. إن دعم المجتمع المدني وتعزيز مشاركة الشباب فيه هو استثمار حقيقي في مستقبل الوطن، وضمانة لبناء عراقٍ قوي، متماسك، ومزدهر.

Iraqi youth represent the cornerstone of any genuine social renaissance, and today their role in leading civil society has become more visible and impactful.
Promoting the values of civil society among citizens means strengthening the principles of cooperation, justice, and participation, principles that cannot truly flourish without proactive young people capable of turning challenges into opportunities.
When youth take the lead in civil engagement, they foster a culture of active citizenship, contribute to spreading the principles of dialogue and tolerance, and lay the foundations for sustainable development that Iraq urgently needs today. Supporting civil society and enhancing youth participation within it is a true investment in the nation’s future and a guarantee for building a strong, cohesive, and prosperous Iraq.
