Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and passionate Chef specializing in Turkish cuisine to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a deep knowledge of traditional and modern Turkish dishes, and fluency in the Turkish language is required to ensure authentic preparation and communication with Employees, kitchen staff, and possibly Turkish-speaking customers.
Responsibilities:
1. Prepare and cook a wide variety of authentic Turkish dishes.
2. Design and update Turkish menu items in coordination with the Restaurant Supervisor.
3. Maintain high standards of hygiene, safety, and food quality at all times.
4. Manage inventory and ensure proper sourcing of Turkish ingredients and spices.
5. Train and supervise junior kitchen staff in traditional Turkish cooking techniques.
6. Communicate effectively in Turkish with team members and vendors.
Required Qualifications:
1. Proven experience as a Turkish Chef or in a similar role.
2. Deep knowledge of Turkish culinary techniques, ingredients, and food presentation.
3. Fluency in Turkish (speaking, reading, and writing) is a must.
4. Culinary degree or certification is a plus.
5. Strong organizational and leadership skills.
6. Ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
7. Experience working in a Turkish restaurant or hospitality setting.
8. Knowledge of regional Turkish cuisines.
9. Must have 10 years experience at least as a chef.
