QUA'AN-PAN LOCAL GOVERNMENT COUNCIL CHAIRMAN PRESENTS 9.2 BILLION NAIRA 2025 APPROPRIATION TO LEGISLATIVE COUNCIL.
The Executive Chairman of Quaan-Pan Local Government Council Christopher Manship (Wallat) has presented a budget proposal of Nine Billion, Two hundred and sixty one million, Six hundred and five thousand, five hundred and fifty-eight Naira, Nine Kobo(9,261,605,558.09) for the year 2025 to the Legislative Council.
The Budget Presentation which took place at the Quaan-Pan Legislative Council Chamber's , titled "Budget of Consolidation and Infrastructural Development," aims to drive growth and development of the Local Government area.
According to a breakdown of the budget proposal, the Sum of five billion, two Hundred and Seventy-Five Thousand, five hundred and fifty-eight Naira, nine kobo only is set aside for recurrent expenditure while the capital expenditure has three billion, twenty six million, four hundred and twenty seven thousand, eight hundred and seventy seven Naira Only is for Capital expenditure as well as Liability which stands at Five Hundred and forty eight million Naira Only.
While presenting the budget before the Legislative Council, the Chairman explained that the budget will be funded by the monthly Allocations from the Federal Government and the internally generated revenue.
The Chairman pointed out that his administration has outlined key infrastructure projects for 2025.
This includes the Construction of a Mini Stadium in Baap, Construction of new administrative Complex at the Council Secretariat, Road Rehabilitation and Grading, Construction of Culverts and Drainages, as well as
Renovation and Activation of Local Government Filling Station in Doemak, Renovation of the Primary Health Centre Gidan Dabat in Kwande District and Shendai in Namu District, Solarization of District headquarters, Rehabilitation of Local Government INEC Road, Rehabilitation of Doemak Township stadium and renovation of LGEA complex Doemak.
