«جنگ
وقتی آغاز می‌شود
اولین چیزی که می‌میرد
حقیقت است.
و بعد
کودکانی
که هیچ مرزی را نمی‌شناختند،
دانش‌آموزانی
که تنها دغدغه‌شان
زنگِ آخرِ مدرسه بود.
آمریکا و اسرائیل
شاید این را
عملیات بنامند،
اما برای مادری
که کیفِ خون‌آلودِ فرزندش را
در آغوش گرفته،
نامِ دیگری دارد:
جنایت.
تاریخ
روزی از موشک‌ها عبور می‌کند،
اما از حافظهٔ کودکانی
که فرصتِ بزرگ شدن نداشتند
هرگز.»
