The registration deadline for the 4th Technology Transfer Award has been extended to February 10, 2024.
D-8 TTEN’s Technology Transfer Award is hosted by Gebze Technical University in April. Companies with contracts and international technology cooperation agreements have the opportunity for registration.

Technology Transfer Award 2023⁣

Turkey will host the fourth round of the "Technology Transfer Award" (TTA 2023), on 12-13 March, 2024 organized by Gebze Technical University (GTU) and D-8 Technology Transfer and Exchange Network (D-8 TTEN). The award ceremony will recognize the best technology transfer contract nominated to the Secretariat, with the D-8 Secretary General and the D8-TTEN President presenting the award.⁣
⁣
To be eligible for nomination, contracts must be signed between January 1, 2023, and December 31, 2023, and the contractors must be from D-8 and/or OIC countries. The contracts should comply with a technology transfer method, and all science and technology fields are eligible.⁣

The international technology transfer centers of various organizations recently gathered at Pardis Technology Park for the 10th anniversary of the D-8 Technology Transfer and Exchange Network (D-8 TTEN). Representatives from esteemed organizations such as IORA, ECO, and COMSTECH were among the attendees. During the event, Isiaka Abdulqadir Imam, the Secretary General of the D-8 organization, announced the establishment of an international specialized investment fund in technology among D-8 member countries. He expressed gratitude to Pardis Technology Park for hosting the D-8 TTEN and emphasized the network's commitment to creating a joint technology fund. ⁣

Milad Sadrkhanlou, President of D-8 TTEN, highlighted the network's accomplishments over the past decade, including various meetings, awards, and programs. He also revealed upcoming plans for a technology transfer award in Turkey and a technology investment meeting in Malaysia, inviting all participants to join. Additionally, a panel discussion took place, exploring challenges and cooperation mechanisms in technology transfer among international organizations. A memorandum of understanding was signed between D-8 TTEN and IORA RCSTT, solidifying their collaboration. To mark the occasion, a tree was planted as a symbol of the network's dedication to growth and collaboration at Pardis Technology Park. ⁣

The Special High Council Meeting of D-8 TTEN, held alongside the BTM2023, saw representatives from Iran, Nigeria, Pakistan, and Türkiye attending in person, while Malaysia and Indonesia participated online. The meeting discussed the activities and changes since the last and introduced the D-8 Technology Festival Initiative as a suggestion by Dr. Iqbal Choudhary, aiming to showcase domestically developed technologies in D-8 countries. The matter of hosting future events of D-8 TTEN was also discussed, with each member expressing interest in hosting these events in the upcoming years. The meeting concluded with closing statements by Dr. Sadrkhanlou, the President of D-8 TTEN.⁣

The 4th Business & Technology Meeting ( ) took place in Isfahan, Iran, in collaboration with (PBUH) Technology STEP. Over 70 technology companies and 50 scientists from various countries attended, including , , , , , , , , , , , and . The meeting focused on , , , and . Activities such as reverse pitch and B2B meetings were organized throughout the event.⁣

During the meeting, a collaboration agreement was established between Iranian GSN-Pars company and India's Empress Venture for the sale of 10,000 children's heart disease diagnosis systems. Additionally, companies like Foolad Technic, Foulad Mobarakeh Innovation and Technology Development (MSTID), and Novin Med presented technological demands, while Saman Energy, Nova Vira, Fara Tahghigh Sepahan, and Aria Health Nano Sensor Manufacturers showcased their latest achievements. The event concluded with B2B meetings and the signing of a memorandum of cooperation between Shams Animation Studio from Iran and Nurfilix Company from Malaysia for the exchange of cultural products.

Online Coordination Meeting of the Focal Points of the High Council of the D-8 TTEN⁣
The High Council Meeting (HCM) of D-8 TTEN has been held virtually with the presence of all D-8 TTEN focal points.⁣
According the public relations of Pardis Technology Park, officials of the D-8 TTEN secretariat accompanied by the representatives of the member countries of the D-8 TTEN -including Egypt, Turkey, Nigeria, Pakistan, Iran, Bangladesh, Indonesia, and Malaysia - were present in the meeting and shared their points of view.⁣
This meeting has been held with the aim of exchanging ideas in order to reach the best possible form of member’s participation in D-8 TTEN’s future events and to improve the quality of holding the 7th meeting of the high council. ⁣
Milad Sadr Khanlou, Deputy Secretary of D-8 TTEN, with expressing satisfaction from the gathering of all members stated: In order to increase cooperation between member countries and take advantage of the most of the capacity of the innovation and technology ecosystem of each country, it is suggested that the representatives inform others about the events in the sector of technology and innovation in their country to witness desired opportunities for the holding country.⁣
In continuation of the meeting, the representatives of the member countries presented their propositions to improve the quality of the events and increase the level of cooperation between the countries and also the countries and the D-8 TTEN Secretariat.⁣
He also with emphasizing on the capacity of each member of the D-8 organization in the related areas to innovation and technology, stated: The members of the network have this opportunity to help advancing the goals by organizing programs and joint plans between the members and other actors outside the secretariat, and create valuable opportunities for themselves and the network.⁣
