Verið öll velkomin á móttöku Wift á Stockfish - Film & Industry Festival

JOIN THE WIFT RECEPTION
On the 9th of April WIFT.is (Women in Film and Television) would like to invite filmmakers and decision-makers of all genders to a drink and celebrate the past 18 years of Wift in Iceland within the frame of Stockfish's 10th anniversary on the 9th of April. Iceland is at the forefront of gender equality worldwide but unfortunately the same does not go for the Icelandic film industry. In a perfect world, there would be no need for Wift. Join Wift at this informal reception to discuss the next steps towards equality and inclusion. When can we finally say goodbye to Wift and simply focus on making films?

WIFT (Félag Kvenna í Kvikmyndum og Sjónvarpi - Women in Film and Television) á Íslandi býður kvikmyndagerðarfólki af öllum kynjum í drykk 9. apríl til þess að skála fyrir starfi félagsins síðastliðin átján ár og fagna um leið 10 ára afmæli Stockfish. Ísland er í fararbroddi í jafnréttismálum á heimsvísu en því miður á það sama ekki við um kvikmyndaiðnaðinn hér á landi. Í hinum fullkomna heimi væri engin þörf á félagsskap eins og WIFT. Velkomin öll á þennan óformlega viðburð til skrafs og ráðagera um næstu skref í átt að fullu jafnrétti og inngildingu. Hvenær getum við loks kvatt WIFT og farið að einbeita okkur að kvikmyndagerð?

The Northern Wave Film Festival retires!
We want to thank all the directors who had their films at the festival, all the musicians who played and showed their videos. Everyone who’s ever been on the jury, all the staff and volunteers and last but not least we want to thank the Culture Council of West of Iceland who are the reason this festival started in the first place.

The festival was celebrated for 7 years in Grundarfjörður and for 7 years at the wonderful The Freezer in Rif . We want to send special thanks to Grundarfjörður and Snæfellsbær for hosting the festival.
