It was also a great chance for him to talk about Avalanche, our climate-disaster drama, and the importance of crafting stories that reflect the world we’re living in today.

We are delighted to introduce our brand new project "BRKN"; a gripping psychological thriller series adapted from the work of Nordic noir master, Jón Atli Jónasson.

Glassriver will work with our partners at True Colours to bring this series to audiences around the world.🌎

Set in Reykjavik, "BRKN" follows detectives Dóra and Rado as they investigate a missing person case that draws them into a dangerous web of organised crime and police corruption.

This series will have all the action of police procedural drama, combined with the psychological suspense - stay tuned! 👀

"Cold Haven" is coming!

Last night, Glassriver and SPi introduced our new series to the wonderful local press, ahead of the Icelandic premiere on Thursday 20th November.

The wonderful cast and crew came together to celebrate this production and the incredible talent from Iceland and Portugal. We can't wait to share "Cold Haven" with audiences very soon!

We’re thrilled to welcome Hrannar Hafsteinsson to Glassriver as Chief Operating Officer.

For over 30 years, Hrannar has played a leading role in organising large-scale events and concerts for global artists including Backstreet Boys, Ed Sheeran, Justin Timberlake, as well as major Icelandic cultural events such as Söngvakeppni Sjónvarpsins.

"Hot Stuff"" is officially in production and we couldn’t be more excited to be working on this series with our friends at IDEA Film, and the rest of our dream team - Steinþór Hróar Steinþórsson, Saga Garðarsdóttir, Magnús Leifsson, and Ragnar Bragason.

The series follows a group of Icelanders on holiday in Spain, blending humour, drama and sharp social commentary. We have an exciting journey ahead of us!🤩

When a young Portuguese woman is found murdered in a small Icelandic coastal town, the community is shaken - and a returning detective must face both the case and her past.

Cold Haven premieres in Iceland from 20 November on Síminn and on RTP in Portugal in late January 2026.
