If you’re planning a few days in Florence, this is the way I’d map it out 🇮🇹

Spreading things out like this made the whole trip feel more balanced, nothing felt crammed in, and each day had its own focus.

The Duomo and the bell tower feel completely different, so doing the in separate days makes it more enjoyable (and a lot less rushed), especially since both involve a bit of a climb. Same idea with the museums, giving each one its own time makes you appreciate them more.

And ending one of the days at Piazzale Michelangelo is definitely worth it, it’s one of those views that puts the whole city into perspective!

Then using your last day to get out into Tuscany completely changes the pace of the trip. It’s a lot for one day, but it’s a really easy way to see more beyond Florence itself.

If you have an extra day in Florence, this is an awesome way to explore more of Tuscany in a day! 🇮🇹

It’s a full day experience, but every stop feels intentional, each place adds its own magic to the mix.

One of the highlights was the lunch stop at Fattoria Poggio Alloro, everything was made locally, including the wine, and the setting out in the hills, with vineyards and open countryside in every direction, is something I still think about.

And when you’re in San Gimignano, don’t skip Gelateria Dondoli! It’s known for its unique award winning flavors, including some you won’t find anywhere else.

It’s a lot to fit into one day, but that’s also what makes it such a good option if you don’t have much time.

One dinner you NEED in Florence:

📍Osteria delle Tre Panche

Known for their truffle dishes and beautiful rooftop views.

This place is always packed (for good reason) so make sure to reserve ahead of time! We went to our hotel lobby the day before and asked if they could call and make a reservation for us.

You won’t regret eating here!

Visiting Florence? These are the two museums everyone talks about!

The Accademia is a shorter visit, but seeing Michelangelo’s David in person really does live up to the hype.

the Uffizi is much bigger, home to world by Botticelli, Leonardo da Vinci, and Michelangelo, including The Birth of Venus. It’s the type of place where you can easily spend hours in.

A few tips before you go:
•Book tickets in advance to avoid long lines.
•Try to go early or later in the day for a better experience.
•If you’re short on time, prioritize seeing the David at the Accademia.

Both are worth the visit in different ways, it just depends on how much time you have.
