My daughter and I found this fabulous purse at a GW in North Carolina for just $5. We were excited because the day before we were in Myrtle Beach and saw the exact same purse new for $50!! Clearly someone got this as a gift and never used it. Yay us! It looks black a5 certain angles.
PS...love that my 18 year old thrifts with us.
PPS..21 year old son loves to go too but when charged the shirt price ($5) for the tshirts he bought ($2.50) he didn't mind because after all it's Goodwill. lol

I'm only allowing one new addition to the ceramic Christmas tree collection. The cobalt blue tree was this year's find from a little thrift shop in Long Beach, CA. It needed a little love but I got it cleaned up, rewired and added new ornaments.

Well an unplanned trip to Goodwill this evening landed me a wonderful surprise. I saw this piece laying in a bin of children’s toys. I picked it up and turned it over to see it was a Kate Spade. It was marked 99 cents. I didn’t hesitate to drop it in my cart. I came home and looked it up on google, it is a coin purse from called Black Cat from their Cats the musical line. The prices showing on line range from $80 to $125, but this one is hopefully going to make my 17 year old granddaughter very happy for Christmas. Altoids can is for size comparison(no bananas in the house).

I found this at an estate sale for $8.00 in Dallas TX. It is 11" tall, cast iron and wonderful. Sorry, no banana for scale as I ate my last one for breakfast. My husband asked what I was going to do with it and I told him I might decide to bake a mouse some muffins.

I built this colonnade in my 1904 house using salvaged materials. I bought the cabinets at an architectural salvage shop. The fluted columns were found at a garage sale and the white oak trim came from an old school. I have added a before photo.
