The Cloud Strife rig is finally complete and ready to be animated!
I based the design on the classic PS1 version, but I’ve adapted it with my own style.

Some Kina’s expressions

Here a little demo shows some of the many possibilities we have with the new 2D rig of Kina made on Toon Boom Harmony 22.
We’ve arranged a bite the Style of the puppet, removing the outline and adding a tonal texture, which it gives an artistic and fresh style to the character.
We add more pegs in order to increase the body control and integrated a new master controller, especially useful for the double leg system IK-FK that gives more liberty at the puppet.
Our purpose was to build a very light rig, complete and versatile at the same time but above all easy to use !
We think that we get pretty close to it :)

"Rahiki Sensei" is one of the Characters of the world of "Kina".
He is the Aikido Master and Kina's mentor, is the one who taught her everything she knows about martial arts.
For this character i was inspired by my real life sensei "Eric Leonard".
