REGULATION
Art. 1
PRESENTATION
The Cultural - Musical Association "Amici della Musica" organizes the VI° International Musical Competition "Friends of Music" Online dedicated to Christmas.
This online competition aims to promote musical activity through the rediscovery of songs and music related to the most beautiful celebration of the year, "Christmas". The selection will take place through the evaluation, by a special commission, of the video performances sent by the competitors. The competition is open to instrumentalists and singers, soloists, duos, and groups, from nursery schools, primary schools, middle schools and music schools, students of conservatories, music high schools, and students of private schools, of any nationality, without age limits. The videos must contain only Christmas songs.
Participation in the competition implies acknowledgement and acceptance of these regulations.
Art. 2
SECTIONS
1 Keyboards: piano, organ, harpsichord, electric keyboards, accordion, etc. (soloists, four-hands, duo, student-teacher);
2 Strings: violin, viola, cello, double bass (soloists, duos, trios, groups);
3 Wind instruments: flute, trumpet, sax, clarinet, etc. (soloists, duos, trios, groups);
4 Percussion: classical, ethnic, modern (soloists, duos, trios, groups);
5 Plucked instruments: guitar (classical, acoustic and electric), electric bass, harp, mandolin, etc. (soloists, duos, trios, groups);
6 Singing: lyrical, jazz, pop, folk, etc. (soloists, duos, trios, groups, choirs);
7 Ensemble music: classical, ethnic, modern (bands, instrumental groups, marching bands);
Art. 3
CATEGORIES
SOLOISTS OR DUOS:
• First notes category: up to 5 years - free programme lasting a maximum of 5 minutes;
• XP Category: 1st - 2nd - 3rd - 4th - 5th Primary - free program maximum duration 5 minutes;
• Category X SMIM: 1st - 2nd - 3rd grade - free program, maximum duration 7 minutes;
• Category X: 1st - 2nd - 3rd grade - free program, maximum duration 7 minutes
• Category K: Music High School - free program maximum duration 8 minutes
Private School and Conservatory
• Category A - First notes: from 5 to 7 years - free programme lasting a maximum of 5 minutes;
• Category A: from 8 to 10 years - free program lasting a maximum of 5 minutes;
• Category B: from 11 to 13 years - free program lasting a maximum of 7 minutes;
• Category C: from 14 to 16 years - free program with a maximum duration of 7 minutes;
• Category D: from 17 to 19 years - free program with a maximum duration of 8 minutes;
• Category E: from 20 to 25 years - free program with a maximum duration of 8 minutes;
• Category F: from 26 years and up - free program lasting a maximum of 10 minutes;
GROUPS: (minimum 3 people) The average age will be considered for the number of members of the group.
• Category G - First notes: up to 5 years - free programme lasting a maximum of 5 minutes;
• Category XX P: 1st - 2nd - 3rd - 4th - 5th - Primary School - free programme, maximum duration 5 minutes;
• Category XX: 1st - 2nd - 3rd Middle school - free program, maximum duration 7 minutes;
• Category XX SMIM: 1st - 2nd - 3rd Middle school - free program, maximum duration 7 minutes;
• Category KK Music High School - free program, maximum duration 10 minutes;
Private School and Conservatory
• GPC Category - First notes: from 5 to 7 years - free program with a maximum duration of 5 minutes;
• Category G: from 8 to 10 years - free program with a maximum duration of 5 minutes;
• Category H: from 11 to 13 years - free program lasting a maximum of 7 minutes;
• Category I: from 14 to 16 years - free program with a maximum duration of 7 minutes;
• Category L: from 17 to 19 years - free program with a maximum duration of 8 minutes;
• Category M: from 20 to 25 years - Free program with a maximum duration of 8 minutes;
• Category N: from 26 years and up - free program with a maximum duration of 10 minutes;
Art. 4
CONTRIBUTION FOR THE EVENT
SOLOISTS /DUO
• Soloists of the First Notes / A First Notes category 20 euros per member
• Soloists of the XP / A category 20 euros per member
• Soloists of Cat. X/ XSMIM / B 20 euros per member
• Soloists of Cat. K/ C/ D / E 25 euros per member
• Soloists of Cat. F 25 euros per member
GROUPS minimum three members
• Cat. G First Notes / GPC First Notes groups 10 euros per member
• Cat. XXP / G groups 10 euros per member
• Groups Cat. XX / XX SMIM/ G / H 10 euros per member
• Groups Cat. KK/ I/ L/ M 15 euros per member
* Choir Cat. CN 15 euros per member
FOR SCHOOL GROUPS OF MORE THAN 10 PEOPLE (ORCHESTRA, CHOIR AND DANCE) THE CONTRIBUTION IS 5 EURO PER MEMBER!!

Indicate in the REASON:

Surname and name of the competitor (in the case of groups, indicate the name of the group),
Category and Section.
All bank charges will be paid by the competitor. For a group of participants, a single transfer will be made.
Upon receipt of an incomplete entry, the entrant will not be admitted to the competition.
Art. 5
APPLICATION FOR REGISTRATION
The application form must be filled out in block letters in all its parts.
Any applications sent after the deadline may exceptionally be accepted at the sole discretion of the Organizing Management.
In the application form, in the case of SMIM, Music High School and Conservatory categories, specify attendance class and instruments/s
Registration is complete when the Competition email is sent to [email protected]
- attaching:
1. Copy of the contribution payment;
2. Registration form;
3.Photo of the identification document;
4.Video Link - performance;
5.Pdf or photo of the scores.
6.In case of groups, the name of the group and a list with the first and last names of all members (the names must all be written legibly).
VIDEO
The video or the link of the video must be sent to the competition email [email protected] and must meet the following requirements:
• It is forbidden to use videos from concerts or other competitions;
• before performing, the competitor or member of the group MUST pronounce the name of the competition e.g.: (VI INTERNATIONAL MUSIC COMPETITION "FRIENDS OF MUSIC" - CHRISTMAS SPECIAL – BERNALDA - MT) AND NAME/SURNAME OR NAME OF THE GROUP.
• all candidates, tools and hands must be clearly visible in the video.
• it is forbidden to stop the recording during the performance between one song and another.
• it is forbidden to cut or modify the recording, the recording must be direct, continuous and faithful.
Videos will be rejected if not titled according to the rules.
Any competitor who has sent a video with any irregularities will be notified and asked to replace it within three days, in order to avoid penalties.
The videos will be viewed by the secretariat and the candidates will receive within three days an email confirming their registration with the link to the performance on the Competition's FB page and subsequently inserted on the link of the competition's YouTube page: www.youtube.com/channel/UCFGcFTwekDXwQHA0MdriHdQ?view_as=subscriber
In case the confirmation email does not arrive, candidates must (within 3 days) send an email and report the problem.
The competitor may use a recorded backing track or another accompanying instrumentalist.
The contestant is required to check the presence of his video: on the FB page.
All further information on the members of the Jury, the results of the Competition, will be published on the website and/or on the FB page.
ART. 6
REGISTRATION DEADLINE
The registration form, filled out IN BLOCK CAPITALS in its entirety and accompanied by all the required documentation, must be received by 11.59pm on 19-12-2024.
Art. 7
JURY, SCORES AND PRIZES
The Jury will be composed of renowned Masters from Conservatories or Music Institutes.
The Jury's decision is final and not subject to change.
The final score will be derived from the average of the evaluations of all the members of the jury, on a scale of 100/100.
The complete rankings for each section and category will be published on December 23, 2024.
All competitors will receive a participation diploma with their score by email.
For groups it is important to indicate in the registration form, Name and Surname of all members, in order to receive individual diplomas.
Evaluation criteria and prizes for the online competition
1st Prize Diploma 100/100 includes participation in the final, the exhibition and delivery of the plaque and collection of a scholarship of 200 euros for the online part. *
1st Prize Diploma - from 95/100 to 99/100 includes participation in the final, performance and delivery of the medal.*
2nd prize diploma - from 90/100 to 94/100.
3rd prize diploma - from 85/100 to 89/100.
All candidates will receive the diploma by email.
*Candidates who have obtained a score of 95/100 will be invited to the Concert in the presence of the finalists which will be held on January 4, 2025 and will compete for the first overall prize of the VI INTERNATIONAL MUSIC COMPETITION "SPECIAL CHRISTMAS".
The commission at the Finalists' Concert "SPECIAL CHRISTMAS" will award diplomas, medals, scholarships, plaques or cups based on the score obtained.
Evaluation criteria and prizes for the in-person Finalists Concert:
-1st prize diploma 100/100, delivery of the cup and a scholarship of 300.00 euros.
-2nd prize diploma - 99/100, delivery of the cup and a scholarship of €150.00.
-Diploma of participation and medal to all participants in the Final Concert.
The commission may award additional prizes and scholarships.
The Diploma of Honor with the title of "Best Teacher" will be awarded to the greatest number of students enrolled in the competition;
In the event of a tie, the prizes will be divided among the candidates.
Diplomas will be sent by January 30, 2025.

Art. 8
FINAL RULES
By participating in the competition, the competitor automatically waives the right to financial compensation for the publication and distribution of music video recordings on CD, DVD or on the Internet. Registration for the Competition implies unconditional acceptance of these regulations, as well as the reservation of the Organizational and Artistic Direction to make changes to them.
Art. 9
PROTECTION OF PERSONAL DATA
Each candidate expressly authorizes the Cultural-Musical Association "Amici della Musica" as well as its direct delegates, to process his/her personal data for the realization of the institutional purposes of the Association, to the extent necessary to fulfill the obligations provided for by law and by the statutory provisions. To use videos and photos taken for or during the events to be put on YouTube or inserted on the Association's website; to send newsletters, in the terms provided for by the legislation currently in force Legislative Decree 101/2018 adopted in implementation of EU Regulation 2016/679.
In case of dispute, the only legally valid text is the original one in Italian.
