I’m finally back posting more and I want to start with some footage from one of the most breathtaking trip I’ve done almost 2 years ago in China 🇨🇳

Grateful to life for making me experience and explore the world
Grateful to all the people I’ve met in that trip, some of them have become my closest friends ( won’t tag you all here but thanks ✨🫶)
Grateful to for bringing me there on their brand day , what an unpredictable epic journey

Thanks to all that’s around me right now and pushes me to be a better me everyday

⚙️Gear Reveal Day ✨
My first impressions on gear I may or may not find useful 🔎

The new smallrig kit for iPhone 17 got my attention lately.
I’m not a mobile user, but I’m always curious of new gear and open to test them.
It’s definetly a solution that could work for anyone stepping in the industry, especially since everyone has a phone in their pocket nowadays.
The rig allows to create an ecosystem that stands alone giving enhanced stability, and multiple accessories attchament points.
This, paired w the Blackmagic app, let the iPhone to perform at its best.
What I liked 👌:
- VND Filter: definetly the first must have
- Diffusion filter: gives a nice cinematic look but performs nicely only when sun is shining hard
- Remote trigger: used with the handles let you place the phone everywhere and shoot solo

For some inspiration if you have the chance to end up with a track n field athlete and your creativity in your pocket.
No excuses. Remember
The best camera is the one in your hands when it’s time to shoot.
All shot using iPhone 17 Pro max. Apple log, edit and grade. In Davinci.
BTS using GoPro hero 13.

The new .global makes it easier and more accessible.
Knowing new tools and mastering is crucial to evolve.
Only fools don’t change their mind.

2016 [might archive later]

That year shaped many things, including living abroad for the first time in my life. (And adding tons of clarity to the pics)

1. I swam into a Cenote (before Tulum was a thing)
2. I moved to Paris and got into a street parade 4 days later
3. I was already working on my dream
4. I’ve climbed a pyramid in the jungle
5. I saw one of the 7 Wonders
6. Realizing this can be a lifetime journey
7. Being home 🏡 for the summer
8. Making new friends while living abroad
9. Taking pics of places that, well..
10 -> enjoying life and taking it not so seriously
Last. Breaking bad vibes

Thanks for each step I took in these 10 years, they brought me right now here, being grateful for all the experiences and made me who I am now; remembering old memories is a powerful tool to remind you what was pushing you at that time…

⚠️ THINGS I’VE LEARNT [may become a series] ⚠️
Can you shoot a Social winter campaign in 1 day?

Yes, but….
➡️Slide to see 5 key aspects, NUMBER 5 💡 to me is the one we tend to forget but it’s the most important one.

📖 So we’ve been asked to rush into a quick social activation for a Client.
The goal was to fill a gap in the ADS publishing needs, helping them to create some catching contents to be used for the Winter season.
⏰ We didn’t have much time to play, both for the deadlines (very tight in time) and for our time schedules, packed for the year ending.

How we made it possible?
There’re few key aspects to take into account while doin projects like this, crucial not to get you to the point of no return where you won’t be eight satisfied of what you’re doing and not providing what’s expected.

🚨Sirui Astra AF Tests - what shall we test now? 🔍
DROP A COMMENT AND LET ME KNOW ⬇️⬇️
is raising the bar once again. First FF anamorphic with autofocus. I tried to create this reel so you can experience what we have felt while shooting. Dynamic and static footage with the actual camera monitor being recorded.
What I’ve noticed:
1) AF is pretty solid though the set, on the FX-3 we couldn’t spot much difference with other Sony or third party lenses performance
2) camera setup is crucial for a good performance, depending on shot and light condition you may tweak AF speed and response to get the best
3) flaring is cool even if sometimes it may mess up with the AF performances (as for any other lens but being sometimes very prominent is important to keep this in mind)
4) full aperture is handy on low light conditions while pushing the camera performances to the edge sometimes
5) no back n foward focus has been noticed while using the lenses
6) AF performances haven’t been affected while using NDs while (off course) may be if using strong promist (more test to come, not surprised though)

Hope you’ll find it helpful.

Got the chance to work on some contents before the release of the new Molus X100 RGB, the RGB Version of the iconic Molus X100, my favorite travel/practical 100w spotlight so far.

You can find our shots featured on zhiyjn official page and website.

It’s a pleasure to work closely with brands and try to fit my creativity in order to make them outstanding.

In this case the collaboration between Zhiyun and brought the western and desert vibe which we embraced immediately, finding a breathtaking spot while still in Nevada.

Thanks to everyone who was there and helped by posing, shooting and giving ideas, I’ve loved that day and created not only beautiful shots but unforgettable memories

Tech post ahead 🔋🎥

I decided to do some posts about the products I’ve been using or implementing in my gearlist and have found them useful somehow to me. Hopefully they may be useful to you as well, please feel free to comment or DM and ask about anything topic related.

While I was on a trip in Spain one of my old VLOCK decided to Die and stop charging, so I purchased on Amazon my first .global V-LOCK, just ‘cause it was the only one arriving within 1 day while there.

Since then i’ve almost switched over to just having those in my Peli and here’s some reasons why:
1. ORANGE 🧡 - I know, it’s not technical but since we all have ADHD and I’m stuck w orange rigs, they fit perfectly
2. ACCESSORIES ⚙️- this is not directly related to the battery, but having a brand where I can buy batteries and all the cabling I need in 1 order is really appreciated (and orange!). I especially love the DTAP to 2PIN cable with the DTAP head. That can ROTATE 180degrees, thanks god that’s so helpful when switching between rigs
3. 99WH and PORTS 🔋- even if most of them now are 99wh power [ok for carry on bags] both the zgcine v-locks I’ve got have plenty of ports I find very useful [ask .alphieri on how they’ve saved him while on a trip in Rome ahha], both for powering camera, accessories or just serving as a Powerbank unit while on the go
4. LASTING and CHARGING TIME 🔌- on the one side I’ve found they reliable, no overheating or other problems, lasting pretty good time compared to other 99wh VLOCKs and with a short charging time via USB-C paired w a 100w AC power
5. TEMPERATURE 🥶 - we’ve been hired to perform some live shows on the alps during these season and even when we had a working day at and air temp of -18°C, the batteries lasted for long [ 100% to 0% w camera + video transmitter and 7” monitor lasted for almost 4hrs ], check face to see how cold it was

Thanks for the amazing pics 📸
