Eto yung klase ng katotohanang hindi pinag-uusapan sa pamilya: may mga kapatid na hindi na ganado tumulong, hindi dahil naging madamot sila, kundi dahil napagod na silang maging “sandalan” pero hindi man lang naranasang sandalan pabalik.

Ang sakit kasi kapag ikaw ang laging inaasahan, pero ikaw din ang unang nakakalimutang tanungin kung kumusta ka na ba talaga.

At doon nagsisimula ang puwang: hindi sa pera, kundi sa pakiramdam na hindi ka na-appreciate, hindi narerespetong may sarili ka ring laban, at hindi nakikitang tao ka rin na napapagod, nasasaktan, at nangangailangan.

Kaya bago magtampo kung bakit may kapatid na unti-unting tumitigil tumulong… baka mas magandang tanungin muna: kailan ba natin siya huling pinahalagahan, hindi bilang tagapagbigay, kundi bilang pamilya?
