Another year, another Gen Con Indy under our belts!
We had previews and demos of our upcoming games (Tedoku, WunderWaffen, and Viking Route – which, by the way, still has late pledges open… 😉) and of our latest releases as well (Quartermaster General: South Front, Perfect Mismatch, and the sold-out Dirt & Dust), over 100 events in the Event Hall, and of course, many occasions to meet with colleagues and gamers of all sorts!

Gen Con is one of our most important shows of the year, and this means it gives us some of our biggest challenges, but also some of the biggest rewards. We hope you were able to come and play with us! But if you didn’t, don’t worry – Ares’s planner is stacked with US shows. And for our European friends… Essen is coming sooner than you know!

Dirt & Dust throws you into the high-octane world of rally racing, where strategy meets speed. Assemble a top-notch support team, fine-tune your car to perfection, and make split-second decisions to conquer challenging tracks. Every choice matters as you push the limits, balancing precision and risk in pursuit of victory. Do you have the skill, nerve, and determination to leave your rivals in the dust and claim the ultimate glory? The race is on — let the adrenaline flow!

Players start with a basic action deck and a unique pilot, then acquire more cards throughout the game to tune their vehicle and improve performance. You’ll manage suspension settings, adjust tire pressure, and tweak the differential — all through a clever system of deck-building and dice placement. Actions are activated based on which dice slot they’re linked to, and driving style choices — fast or cautious — further impact the effects of each card.

Stages take you from scenic coastal roads and tight city circuits to shaded forest trails, mountain curves, and the thrill of night racing. With diverse terrain and mechanical depth, Dirt & Dust offers a fresh and immersive experience.

Designed by Kutná Hora co-creator Petr Čáslava, this is rally as you’ve never played it before: intense, technical, and surprisingly tactical.

The crowdfunding campaign for Teburu Dungeon: Sword & Sorcery is live on Gamefound. Launched on July 22nd, the project funded in only 15 minutes, and with 24 days left it counts over $500K pledged and almost 1500 backers. Teburu Dungeon: Sword & Sorcery is the collaboration between Sword & Sorcery and Teburu, a gaming system that seamlessly integrates the digital world with the physical, keeping players focused on the board and its components while the system takes care of the game rules, enemy behaviour, and storytelling events. Players attending Gen Con Indy this week will have the chance of trying Teburu Dungeon: Sword & Sorcery at the Xplored booth ( #1852).

TEDOKU, a clever Roll, Flip, and Write game for any number of players, will be presented as preview at Gen Con 2025 (Booth #229, July 31-August 3, Indianapolis). Due to release at Spiel Essen 2025 (October 23-26), the game combines the logical satisfaction of Sudoku with the spatial challenges of polyomino puzzles, and it can be played solo or as a group, as players only need a pencil and their own sheet.

TEDOKU will be present for the first time at Gen Con.

Play a giant version of QUARTERMASTER GENERAL: EAST FRONT, the first two-player game to use the popular Quartermaster General game system.

In Quartermaster General: East Front, the focus shifts from the grand strategic and multiplayer approach of Quartermaster General WW2 Second Edition to two-player and operational-level action. East Front depicts the deadly struggle between the Soviet Union and Germany from 1941 to 1945, in a tense and fast-playing format, allowing players to recreate this historical conflict in less than 2 hours.

Come to our stand and play WAR OF THE RING – THE CARD GAME, the multi-player game inspired by Tolkien’s trilogy.

In War of the Ring – The Card Game each player controls one or more of the factions in War of the Ring, either on the side of the Free Peoples or of the Shadow armies, using a unique deck reproducing the strengths and weakness of the specific factions they play with.

Come to our stand for a preview of WUNDERWAFFEN, a strategic game portraying the last year of World War II, when the Normandy landings paved the way to the occupation of Berlin and the resulting defeat of the German army.
Through simple rules the game recreates the troubled collaboration between the Russian, British, and American Allies in the final phase of the war.

The N**i army is near collapse, but inside its laboratories scientists and technicians are designing new and terrible weapons, the so-called WunderWaffen, in the hope of turning the tides of a hopeless situation. The Allies players will have to carefully balance the urgency to rapidly advance toward Berlin with the need to limit the Germans’ scientific research, while trying to help one another. The German player will have to move forward on the Research Track, trying at the same time to put up a desperate fight against the Allies’ advance, to delay the inevitable defeat for as long as possible. Germans may also win, though losing Berlin, thanks to a scoring system that rewards the results of forces on the field.

Come to our stand for a preview of VIKING ROUTE, a cooperative game with an ingenious compass-and-magnets movement mechanic.

Sail a magical Drakkar to the World’s Edge, guided by Odin’s ravens and the winds of Fate, facing powerful Norse creatures, fulfilling challenging quests, and preparing for the final battle to avert Ragnarok.

The game is played on a beautiful 3D Viking ship and a scenario board, where the Drakkar is represented by a compass. Multiple magnets (the Ravens and Wind), manipulated by the players, steer the course of their ship. Players will also have to manage the Drakkar resources and their hand of cards to confront opponents and achieve the goals of their quests.
