WestMED Project Award 2025 | Tunis, 28 November 2025
On 28 November 2025, within the framework of the 5th WestMED Stakeholder Conference in Tunis, the CALLMEBLUE - Cluster Alliance Med Blue received the WestMED Project Award 2025.
On this occasion, Lidia Rossi, Managing Director of ForMare - Polo Nazionale per lo Shipping, presented a pitch of CALLMEBLUE - Cluster Alliance Med Blue Project, illustrating its objectives, main activities, and key results, as well as its contribution to strengthening the role of maritime clusters and cooperation mechanisms across the Mediterranean.
The Award recognises CALLMEBLUE as a pilot initiative that has effectively strengthened the role of maritime clusters across the Mediterranean, with a specific focus on reinforcing North–South and South–South cooperation. It also acknowledges the project’s contribution to promoting cluster-based governance models, transnational collaboration, and innovation-driven regional development.
The WestMED Conference addressed key cross-cutting priorities for the Mediterranean, including Blue Skills and Ocean Literacy, Maritime Clusters, Energy Transition, Maritime Spatial Planning, Aquaculture, and Climate Change, highlighting the importance of coordinated action among institutions, clusters, and regional ecosystems.
The recognition received represents an important institutional validation of the CALLMEBLUE - Cluster Alliance Med Blue approach and a strong encouragement to continue strengthening cooperation mechanisms and high-value support services for Mediterranean maritime clusters.
