On Day 47 of their latest war, Israel and Hamas announced that they had reached an agreement for release of some hostages in exchange for freedom for Palestinian prisoners, and a 4-day ceasefire. Now, a report has revealed inside details of the hectic negotiations which began soon after Hamas' October 7 attack in which hundreds of hostages were taken to the Gaza Strip. News agency Reuters said that Hamas agreed to the broad contours of a deal before Israel launched its ground invasion, but the Benjamin Netanyahu government was not convinced. Fresh clashes broke out between Hezbollah and Israel near the Lebanon border. The Lebanese militant group has launched strikes on Israeli army posts again. In a video by Hezbollah, several Israeli army posts were seen being attacked. Hezbollah attacks reportedly resulted in damage at Israeli army border posts. The latest Hezbollah strikes on IDF posts come after Burkan missile attacks on November 20. Meanwhile, a day after claiming to have seized an "Israeli" ship in the Red Sea, the Houthi group of Yemen released footage purportedly of their naval operation. The video showed heavily armed Houthi fighters descending onto the ship's top deck from a helicopter, and then proceeding to take over the vessel. Israeli authorities condemned the incident while claiming that the ship wasn't Israeli. However, Israel's PM Netanyahu called it an "Iranian act of terrorism", even as Tehran distanced itself from the incident.

The Palestinian group Hamas released footage on November 19 purportedly showing its fighters storming a hospital in Gaza to attack Israeli soldiers inside. The incident reportedly took place at Rantisi Hospital in Gaza City, where the Israel Defense Forces claimed to have found weapons a few days ago.
