Lasciamo cadere una ad una le etichette che per comodità applichiamo alle produzioni di musica contemporanea: Diego Conti
parla un linguaggio squisitamente autentico, il suo; non c’è traccia di manierismo timbrico, sfoggio di effettistica o distrazioni di altra natura. E soprattutto – sorprendentemente – questa raccolta di brani parte da persone: nasce nell’incontro; si nutre di acute osservazioni o memorie condivise; procede alla trasfigurazione. Come un sarto, il compositore imbastisce vesti sonore per corpi spirituali immaginati.
In questo nuovo capitolo dedicato alla sua musica da camera gli interpreti sono il clarinetto di Cosimo Linoci, il violino di Eugenia Lentini e il pianoforte di Matteo Sebastiani, che si alternano e si raggruppano nell'esecuzione di quattro brani di cospicue dimensioni.

Marco Enrico Bossi wrote for the piano across nearly his entire life — and almost none of it has ever been recorded.

Giulio Giurato, already the pianist behind the complete set of Bossi's instrumental chamber music on Tactus, now turns to the solo piano works in what the liner notes describe as a world premiere recording. From a mazurka composed at age 14 to the five concert pieces of Op. 137, this music spans the full arc of Bossi's creative development and reveals, in the composer's own words rendered in sound, how much remains to be discovered.

Bossi himself regarded the piano as a space of relative compositional freedom alongside his monumental organ and symphonic-choral output — yet these pieces carry all the craft and ambition of a master at work. That they remain virtually unknown today makes this release all the more significant.

This new chamber music release presents four substantial works free of timbral mannerism or gratuitous effect. Conti's language is unmistakably his own: grounded in human encounter, in shared memory and sharp observation, transformed through music into something that transcends its origins.

The three performers alternate and regroup across the programme with exceptional fluency.
