In 40 minutes of improvised music, the Pipeline ensemble creates a piece that can unhesitatingly be described as orchestral, collective, and even choral. Without patterns, scores, and reference points, the group shapes an organic and cohesive course.

Scomparso a Rio de Janeiro il 13 settembre 2025, celebriamo la carriera di un musicista e compositore fuori da qualsiasi schema. Innovatore geniale, nato nel 1936 ad Alagoas, nel nord est del Brasile, ha conquistato orecchie e cuori in tutto il globo e ispirato generazioni di artisti ipnotizzati dalla sua Música Universal.
“Tutto ciò che produce un suono è Musica”, un concetto a cui “O Bruxo” ha dedicato una vita intera.
Dal Quarteto Novo al Calendario do Som, da Live/Evil di Miles Davis, ai suoi brani più conosciuti eseguiti dal suo “Grupo”, oltre ad alcuni dei più meravigliosi omaggi musicali mai scritti e a lui dedicati, Questa notte di Battiti è tutta per Hermeto Pascoal.
