Who’s the winner? Phone or the DJI Lito X1… 👀

Many people have asked if I think this drone is good enough to use for vertical content and while the Mini 5 pro is the absolute best choice, this one delivers really good quality 🔥

My settings -
Resolution : 2.7k
Shutter speed : double the frame rate
Frame rate : 60fps so I could slow it down
ISO : keep as low as possible, this was 100
Colour profile : D-Log M, best for colour grading

Would love to hear what you think of the final shots ⚡️

Save this for your next shoot… 📸🔥

Here’s how to do it 👇

Attach an ND filter - this is crucial as it will allow you to lower your shutter speed to 2 or 4 seconds meaning it will introduce more motion blur 🔥 at sunset I use ND 16 higher.

The drone - Take the photo while moving in a single direction, for example pulling the stick backwards 🎬 I used the Mini 5 Pro for this ⚡️

Repeatedly press the shutter button - this gives you multiple takes to work with and it actually took us about 65 takes to finally get the end shot 🤣 it was especially important as the golden light was fading 🌅

Bonus tip - be sure to have Raw photos switched on so you can edit them in lightroom with max quality after 🤘

Huge thank you to .pita.3 who modelled for this one and for his assistance shooting 🔥

Summer days in the Dolomites… ☀️

This is STILL my favourite drone shot to date and a reminder of how much I love capturing moments 🎬

Who’s coming next time? 🔥

Mini 5 Pro Vs DJI Pocket 4, which shots do you prefer? ⚡️

In my opinion the pocket 4 feels like a Mini 5 pro that is attached to a gimbal so this felt like a cool test 🎥

One thing the Osmo pocket 4 has over the drone is the ability to shoot 4k240fps, but they both have 14 stops of dynamic range 🔥

Thank you to the model - .campagnolo 💫

Accessories to improve your camera set up 🎬⚡️

created a series of Osmo pocket 3/4 accessories and they have helped me achieve some really cool results, so I thought I’d share them with you 👇

Mist filters - these can be used to diffuse harsh light and create a soft cinematic end shot. 1/4 has been a must for my cameras across the years but I really liked the look for the 1/2 on the pocket 4 👀

ND filter storage attachment - this is a really unique and innovative way to quickly access your filters and it also has a magnetic plate built in, allowing you to mount your camera wherever you go 🔥

Phone adapter - If you want a bigger screen to fully frame your shot, this is a great option ⚡️ you can open the DJI Mimo app and use your phone as an external monitor 🎥

Power adapter - For long shoot days or even trips with the osmo pocket battery life can drain faster than expected, which makes this a solid option for peace of mind 🔋

Would love to hear your thoughts on this one 🫶

A new drone has arrived - This is the DJI Lito X1 ⚡️

Here’s everything you need to know 👇

Priced at £369 it is designed for beginners or anyone who wants to start their drone journey worry free.

It features a 360 degree obstacle avoidance system making it safe and easy to detect objects in its way.

The camera is impressive as it has a 1/1.3 inch sensor and you can choose to shoot in D-log M, if you want to colour grade but normal mode actually performs great too.

Battery is listed as 36 minutes maximum, which is enough for a sunset shoot, but I think for a full day out you need at least 2.

If you want the drone to follow you, it has active track where you just draw a box around yourself and the drone will capture you doing your thing 🔥

The question is, what do you honestly think of this one? Would you add this to your line up or not? 👀

Try this easy sound effect hack… 🎥⚡️

For some recent videos, I captured the exact sounds for each scene using the DJI Mic 3 🎬 it gave me some pretty cool results 💡

Tip: Keep your sound effects subtle - The best sound design isn’t noticed, it just blends in 🍿 I made the last sound louder so you can hear how it’s actually less effective compared to the other parts of the video 🫡

Send this to someone who needs to try this 🔥

The all new DJI Pocket 4 is here 🔥

Here’s everything you need to know… 👇

4K 240fps (ultra slow motion) - This is the biggest standout feature for me. It’s something we usually only see in specialised cinema cameras 😳 so having it in a pocket-sized device unlocks a completely new way of capturing moments 🎬

D-Log - Grading these shots was a joy, and I can confidently say this will be part of my setup going forward 🎨 The footage looks professional once graded, and there’s plenty of data to work with 🙌

2x Lossless Zoom - I don’t personally use this as much, but it’s great to have the option, especially if you want more precise framing with a longer focal length 👀 It essentially crops in to create that compressed background look, which elevates your footage without needing extra editing ⚡️

107GB Internal Storage - We now have internal storage, and from my experience, it’s more than enough for multiple days of heavy shooting 🎉

14 Stops of Dynamic Range - This makes shooting in tricky lighting conditions much easier. More detail is preserved in both highlights and shadows, giving you a much better final image 🔥

Night performance has improved a lot - I was genuinely surprised by the results, and if you struggle with low-light shooting, this is a solid option 🌙

Honestly worked very hard on this one so would love to hear if you liked it 🫶

A huge thank you to these legends 👇

Ballet performer - .campagnolo was a huge part of this project, her talent and professionalism really took it to the next level 🎬

Camera assistance - who once again smashed it with capturing behind the scenes and helped with lighting 🎬

Sunrise model - always amazing to shoot with as always, even if it was a 5am start 🤣💫

Basketball player - was absolute legend, got some serious skills 🏀🔥

Which shot worked out the best? 👀

Ad/ This is the Yuka Mini 2 robot lawn mower ⚡️

I met the team during IFA last summer and they set me a challenge to create an unique video of their device 🎥

Can honestly say I’m really impressed by the tech they have in this thing and more importantly how genuinely nice the team was 🫶

Let me know what it think of results 🎬🔥

Avata 360 - A real world test 🎬

Had the opportunity to put this new drone through its paces pre release to create some short form content and decided to make an honest review of my experience so far ⚡️this includes both positive and negative points throughout 🎥

In summary it’s a very unique style of flying and offers something completely new while still having the option to use the single lens as a more traditional approach.

The editing is both a pro and con as you can create almost anything making it feel slightly overwhelming at times deciding which angle to use 🫨 this is the same for any 360 product.

Camera quality was good overall, with the option to shoot in log, which is great for colour grading 👨‍🎨 what I would say is that the more you crop in the lower the quality gets, so just bare that in mind 🤝 dynamic range wasn’t quite the same as we’d get from say a mini 5 pro, but with manual settings you can make it work 🙌

The durability is very good from my experience and having replaceable lenses is a useful for peace of mind 🔥

Will it replace my Avata 2? Definitely not, it falls into a separate category in my opinion and is more of an extension to my tool kit that will be used when I need a different style of shot, along with multiple clips from a single take 🤩

You can watch this video in full on YouTube, so feel free to stop by 🫶it also has a tips and tricks segment which can be applied to any 360 drone/camera 💫

What do you think of the Avata 360? 👀
