The Associazione Musicale Giovanni Bottesini continues its commitment to promoting and celebrating the legacy of Giovanni Bottesini, engaging younger generations through the Bottesini Educational project. 🎼

Last night, the students of the “Dante Alighieri” Middle School staged an intense and engaging theatrical performance, able to portray Bottesini in all his facets.

A beautiful example of how culture, local heritage, and young people can come together on stage. 👏

“The Atlas Syndrome” (Capriccio for Solo Double Bass), the new work composed by Maestro giovanni_sollima for auditions, is now available. 🤩

We had promised it: the 10th edition of IBC would truly be special 🤩
giovanni_sollima, one of the greatest contemporary cellists and composers - a true Bottesini of our time - has written an original piece that will be required of all candidates at the first live audition in Crema. 🎶🎻

A precious gift that deeply honors us and will help expand the global double bass repertoire, fully in line with the mission of our competition and our association: not only to celebrate and represent the legacy of Giovanni Bottesini, but also to foster the growth and evolution of the instrument’s repertoire.

Our most sincere thanks go to Giovanni Sollima for making this edition even more unique.
