LES MÉTAMORPHOSES, AU FÉMININ by Maria Giménez Cavallo Maria Giménez Cavallo starring Noémie Merlant, has been selected as the opening short at the 41st Venice International Film Critics’ week Settimana della Critica, as part of the 83rd Venice International Film Festival La Biennale di Venezia ✨.

“A professor (Noémie Merlant) reads aloud to her class some of the most salient excerpts of violence against women from Ovid’s Metamorphoses. As the ancient verses echo through the classroom, her students begin to realize the cruelty behind the poetry: the myths reveal themselves to be an unsettling mirror of a reality that remains all too current.”

L’incontro di giovedì 5 febbraio a The Square è stato l’occasione per condividere il percorso verso la 76ª Berlinale di Hangar Rojo, film co-prodotto da Berta Film, .film e , che sarà presentato in prima mondiale il 13 febbraio.

Durante la serata abbiamo presentato alla community locale il Derry Social Club, il network che riunisce oltre 70 realtà e professionisti del cinema di genere in Italia per favorire nuove progettualità e collaborazioni.

Grazie a e a tutti i professionisti presenti per il confronto e la partecipazione.

With great enthusiasm, we announce that HANGAR ROJO will have its world premiere at the 76th edition of the Berlinale - Berlin International Film Festival , taking place in Berlin from February 12 to 22.

Directed by our friend and esteemed colleague Juan Pablo Salato , the film has been selected for the Perspectives section, dedicated to highlighting and supporting debut fiction features from around the world.

Hangar Rojo is a Chilean thriller inspired by real events, produced through an international collaboration that includes Berta Film, and delves into the heart of the military world during the 1973 coup d’état in Chile.

A restrained, intimate, and deeply political narrative about men trapped within the machinery of power, at the precise moment when history forces them to choose which side they are on.
