Pāʻina. 🫶 The Hawaiian word for a gathering, a feast, a celebration of being together. That is exactly what last night’s welcome party was.

We walked into Rebecca Grinnals+Kathryn Arce and got handed Engage-branded coconuts at the door, then sent off with local hair pieces to wear for the night. Pāʻina and Provisions turned the beach lawn at The Ritz-Carlton Maui, Kapalua into a true island gathering, with bamboo and florals that felt foraged from the island. 🌸 The ukulele wall stopped everyone in their tracks. 🎶 And the whole thing unfolded at golden hour with the Pacific as the backdrop. ☀️

Eight local chefs and restaurants plated the best of the island, the music kept going, and the room filled with the people building the future of luxury weddings. We are in Maui for the week 🌺, soaking up Engage! on the shores of Kapalua.

Engage! brings together many of the world’s leading luxury wedding and event professionals, and this is the 55th gathering since it started as a single-day event in 2008. We are here for the conversations under the Hawaiian sky, the work rooted in local culture, and the reminder of exactly why we do what we do.

Maui’s beauty hits you the second you land. The coastline, the landscapes, the aloha spirit in every interaction. Beyond the natural wonder is a community defined by resilience and deep cultural pride. The people of this island have carried so much these last few years, and it means everything to gather here in support of Maui and the people who call it home. 🙏

A destination is never just a backdrop. These are living communities full of stories, traditions, and the kind of hospitality that shapes every celebration. Maui is one of the most magical places in the world to gather, to marry, and to build a memory worth keeping. 💍

and Callum Turner celebrated their wedding in Palermo, Sicily, and one detail stopped everyone cold.

A bookshelf. Full of books. Right in the middle of the party.

Because that is where it started. They met, both mid-read on the same novel, Trust by Hernán Díaz. Callum looked at her and said, “So we’re on the same page.”

They brought that moment into the room. Not as a theme. As a memory made physical.

Dua in a custom ivory feathered gown. Callum in a cream suit. The whole scene set against Palermo. And still, the detail everyone is talking about is the bookshelf.

That is intentional styling. That is a couple who knew exactly what they wanted their wedding to say.

The couples we serve think like this. They are not checking boxes. They are building something that means something, and they want vendors who get that before they ever have to explain it.

Every body. Every love. Every story worth telling.

A few favorites from David + McKenna’s day at .house.mi earlier this month, shot by the incredible .⁣

Let’s start with the first one. Both of them under the veil, light coming through the trees and catching the little embroidered flowers stitched along the edge. That’s not a pose you can call out. You either see the moment forming and get low and ready for it, or you miss it. Sydney saw it.⁣
⁣
Then the bouquet. Peach roses, ranunculus, blue delphinium against all that green, and McKenna looking down with the veil soft over her face. The color holds up because Sydney knows how to read backlight instead of fighting it.⁣
⁣
And the black-and-white of the two of them heading for the greenhouse, the train trailing across the pavement behind her. Quiet, unposed, the kind of in-between frame most people walk right past. She kept shooting, and that’s the one that tells the whole story of the day.⁣

Happy Pride Month. We are starting June the only way we know how, with a love story that stopped us in our tracks.⁣

Mari and Jes got married on a private Vermont estate under a sailcloth tent they turned into a full art installation. Rainbow ribbons and lanterns in every color hung from the ceiling. Their guests showed up in floral suits, flower crowns, and embroidered jackets because the dress code said wear color and prints, and everyone delivered. The ceremony arch was a lush circular garden of flowers with trailing ribbons, the Vermont hills and a pond stretching out behind them.⁣
⁣
The dinner tables were set with heirloom china from both families, every plate different, every one telling its own story. Nothing was standard. Nothing was an accident. Every single detail was layered with meaning, personality, and pride.⁣
⁣
Planner built this amazing trans couple day around one thing: that Mari and Jes should feel completely, visibly themselves from the first moment to the last. And they did.⁣
⁣
Every couple deserves to see themselves in wedding media. Not accommodated. Not included as an afterthought. Celebrated, featured, and treated as the whole point. This is what that looks like. And we could not think of a better way to open Pride Month than with Mari and Jes’s story.⁣

The look is a love letter to old-Hollywood bridal. A sculpted skirt suit in the softest pale blue, gold Schiaparelli hardware running down the front, finished with a wide-brimmed picture hat, white opera gloves, and a Bvlgari Serpenti at the throat. Vintage references, rebuilt for right now.⁣
⁣
This is exactly the kind of vintage-rooted styling our vintage and heirloom publication was built for. It’s a reminder that inclusive luxury weddings have no single silhouette. A bride in a tailored suit on the courthouse steps is every bit as bridal as a cathedral train. Save it for the couple who wants the day to look exactly like them.⁣

captured D+D’s Wyoming elopement and we cannot stop coming back to these images. The Tetons in the background, a vintage G-Wagon on a mountain road, V***e Clicquot on a woven blanket at golden hour, and two people who just wanted to be somewhere that felt like THEM.⁣

No ballroom. No 200-person guest list. Just the mountains and a photographer who knew exactly what to do with all of it.⁣
⁣
That’s the thing about Diana’s work. She doesn’t just document a wedding, she documents a feeling, and this whole gallery feels like a deep breath. The moody black and white dinner portraits, the wide open Teton views, the ring detail with those Jimmy Choos laid out on black velvet… (We mean. Come on.)⁣

A Minnesota bride recently went viral after having her bridesmaids wear white, and the internet had plenty to say. Because apparently, some wedding “rules” still have a chokehold on people. 👀⁣

But here’s what Aisle Society believes: your wedding should feel like you. Not a checklist. Not a rulebook. Not something designed to make everyone else comfortable.⁣
