🆘In uscita ora il primo articolo frutto della collaborazione tra la redazione di Koinè Journal e quella di Il Mondo blog

🇪🇺🇮🇹Se la politica dell’Unione Europea è spesso considerata complessa, allora la sua politica migratoria può dirsi abbastanza intricata. Non di rado si sente parlare, all’interno del dibattito europeo, di proposte di riforma del sistema di gestione dei flussi migratori e delle richieste di asilo. Dopo circa otto anni di negoziazioni, numerose strumentalizzazioni e soprattutto molti morti nei mari e nelle terre che circondano i confini UE, il Parlamento europeo ha approvato il nuovo Patto sulla politica migratoria e di asilo. Il risultato è stato descritto come un compromesso che ha lasciato molti insoddisfatti, ma almeno i parlamentari sono riusciti ad approvare il Patto prima della fine della legislatura. In questo articolo, le nuove norme sono analizzate in maniera più oggettiva possibile, con lo scopo di porre l’attenzione sulla questione anche riguardo alle prossime elezioni europee.

🇪🇺🇬🇧If EU politics is complex, then EU migration policy is quite intricate. It is not uncommon to hear - within the European debate - proposals of reform of the migration and asylum seeking system. After roughly eight years of negotiations, several instrumentalizations of the issue, and especially many deaths in the seas and lands surrounding EU borders, the European Parliament approved the new Pact on migration and asylum policy. The result has been described as a compromise that left many unsatisfied, but at least MEPs managed to pass it before the end of the legislature. In this article, the new norms are analyzed as objectively as possible, with the aim of raising attention to the issue even for the upcoming EU elections.
