✨ We are delighted to welcome Brigida Garda, dramatic coloratura soprano, to the Verbosound family! 🎶
Biography
A dramatic coloratura soprano, she first discovered her passion for singing thanks to her father, a baritone, and went on to graduate with honors from the “Luca Marenzio” Conservatory in Brescia. Her remarkable vocal gifts have been greatly appreciated and further enhanced through masterclasses with renowned artists such as Daniela Dessì, Barbara Frittoli, Phillip Moll, Cinzia Forte, Valerio Galli, Kristjan Johansson, Tatiana Chivarova, and Fiorella Burato, with whom she continues her artistic development. This has allowed her to refine her technical and interpretative skills while cultivating the natural dramatic temperament that defines her artistry.
Her ideal repertoire spans from the late 18th century to the 20th century, with a particular focus on Verdian and late-Romantic roles. Combined with her strong stage presence, this has led to debuts in works such as Puccini’s Il Tabarro and Suor Angelica, Verdi’s Tosca, Il Trovatore, and La Traviata, Mascagni’s Cavalleria Rusticana, and as the Countess in Mozart’s Le nozze di Figaro, both in Italy and abroad.
Alongside opera, she pursues an intense concert activity, ranging from the North European chamber repertoire to sacred music. Upcoming engagements include Leonora in Verdi’s Il Trovatore as well as a series of opera and concert performances in Italy and internationally.
