Maguzzano Abbey Kicks Off Summer Spirituality Events on July 9
The Abbey of Maguzzano, located on the southern shore of Lake Garda and framed by morainic hills and water, was founded in the 9th century by Benedictine monks and today operates as a living spiritual, cultural, and hospitality center run by the Don Calabria Institute. It welcomes individuals, families, and groups and fosters ecumenical and interfaith dialogue.
Today Maguzzano hosts a Don Calabria community for both men and women and offers cultural seminars, ecumenical programs, and summer activities such as “Giovedì in Monastero.” The July–August schedule includes a 9:30 welcome, 9:45 prayer, 10:00 theme and silence, 11:30 sharing, 12:30 lunch (booking), and 15:30 rosary; a Biblical Day is planned for July 12 with Fr. Moreno Pollon, and Sunday guided tours are free at 16:00. Practical info: Via Maccarona 8, 25017 Lonato del Garda (BS); 030.913 0182 or 344.442 4777; [email protected].
