For years, it was all about more. More rooms, more people, more excess.

Now, it seems to be moving in the opposite direction.

Private villas instead of crowded lobbies.
Long lunches that become dinner.
Private chefs.
Tables under olive trees.
Hidden pools.
Slow mornings.
Invisible service.

Less spectacle.
More feeling.

We’ll almost certainly cross paths at one of these hotels,
perhaps over an aperitivo, on a terrace overlooking the canal.

Because the Venice Biennale is also about this:
meetings, exhibitions, vernissages, installations, events…
and the people who, at least once a year, make their way here.

We’ve selected a few hotels truly worth booking, though, truthfully, the list could go on much longer, because Venice always knows how to surprise.

This is simply our first selection.

the aperitivo is a ritual.

It is the moment that allows you to pause,
to observe, to tell stories.

The aperitivo is a threshold,
between day and evening,
between what has been and what is yet to come.

It is warm light on glass,
a conversation that lingers,
time, just for a moment..slowing down.
