This Transporter photo is from VW do Brasil. The photo shows CKD assembly of the VW Kombi at the company's first factory in Ipiranga, São Paulo. Date is between 1953 and 1957.

VW production record in 1957.
On this day: Volkswagen number 2 million (a combined total of all VW Type 1 and 2 models produced since 1945) rolled from the final assembly line on 28 December 1957.

It is not known if the celebration vehicle was a Beetle or Transporter as there no photo of the ceremony, if there was one, seems to exist. However, such milestones were usually celebrated at the Wolfsburg plant so it is therefore probably safe to assume it was a 1958 model year Beetle.

The main post photo shows 1958 model year assembly at the Wolfsburg plant. Perhaps the two millionth VW is one of them?

European specification 1975 model year (or later) VW 1303 models roll off the final assembly line, most likely at the Brussels plant in Belgium as Beetle production had ended at Wolfsburg in July 1974.

On September 9th, 1971, chassis 3372 made a notable appearance in a photoshoot with legendary British rock singer Rod Stewart. Captured by photographer Victor Blackman at Stewart's home in Southgate, London, the images featured the singer posing with the Miura, marking the car’s connection to the world of rock and roll.

Chassis 3372 was the first of three Miuras owned by Stewart, who later acquired a Miura S and a Miura SV, further cementing the Miura's place in both automotive and pop culture history.
