In the contemporary world, hyperconnectivity seems to be the element that connects every individual. Yet, despite this apparent closeness, many young people live in a condition of emotional loneliness.

“Silent Absences” is a photographic project that explores this paradox through the representation of the classrooms of a high school—places once filled with voices, laughter, and conversation, but now immersed in a silence that seems to tell more than a thousand words.

Fotosottocasa is an ongoing project made entirely within walking distance of my home: objects, people, animals, interiors subjects that habit had rendered invisible.
This selection of ten images is a compressed cross-section of that practice.
There is no travel, no assignment, no exceptional occasion.
Only the curiosity of returning to the same streets and looking again, until something small (a chair, a gesture, a color) refuses to stay ordinary.
