Paola Noferi’s specialty food shop in Montevarchi’s old city serves up local Tuscany dishes like rocchini di sedano, stewed celery rolls, and cold-weather favorite ribollita, a hearty bread and kale stew.

I liked the name I chose for the store. I had seen it in a book and it caught my eye. So I chose “A Table in Tuscany.” It's catchy and tourists like it.

We just released new short that pays homage to a shopkeeper who's been running her specialty food store (sometimes, alongside her partner) in Montevarchi's historical center. Many small businesses have been driven into the ground by big-box stores in ever-expanding shopping centers. We find that sad because that trend often takes away from conversation and community.

True, but Paola Noferi loves biking to work. And love her for this.
