As the first hotel ever built in Taormina, Grand Hotel Timeo perfectly combines timeless Sicilian elegance with the most beautiful views of Mount Etna and the Ionian Sea.

The location couldn’t be better. It’s right next to the Ancient Greek Theatre and just a short walk from the heart of Taormina, yet it feels incredibly peaceful and relaxed, surrounded by lush gardens.

We absolutely enjoyed experiencing Grand Hotel Timeo, from relaxed days by the pool and aperitivo at Timeo Bar to unforgettable evenings at Timeo Grill. The restaurant celebrates the flavours of Sicily with fresh seafood and grilled meats prepared over the Josper Grill, alongside special weekly experiences including Pizza & Champagne on Mondays and Fire & Wine on Tuesdays.

As part of our sensory retreat at The Ritz-Carlton Al Wadi Desert, we stayed in one of the beautiful signature Tented Villas surrounded by nature and endless sandy dunes ✨

Some of the highlights included dining under the stars at the incredible desert pop-up, breakfast at Kaheela, relaxing Rainforest experience inspired by European and Middle Eastern wellness rituals and a visit to the Scent Library where we created our own custom made perfume to take home.

If you’re looking for a truly beautiful desert escape in the UAE, this is the right place for you!

Our home for 4 nights!
We stayed in the Overwater Villa and the Beach Residence!
Both are incredibly beautiful with completely different vibes!

The Overwater Villa with a private pool gives you that classic Maldivian dream, when you wake up surrounded by turquoise water with direct access to the ocean!

The Beach Residence was such a dream! I absolutely love the direct beach access, huge outdoor patio and stunning private pool.

The best things to do in Rome✨

‼️new rule for Trevi Fountain 2026:
• Access to the lower steps right next to the fountain now costs €2 (from 9AM until 9PM), only 400 people are allowed to enter at the same time.
• if you go before 9AM and after 9PM you can go down to the fountain free of charge but unfortunately those metal barriers are now permanently around the Trevi Fountain.

✨My favourite spots (in order):

1. Breakfast at Cafe L’Antico Forno (bakery opens at 7am but people will start queuing from 6am🙈)
2. Ponte Sant’Angelo (go earlier to avoid crowds)
3. Aperitivo at The Court Bar at Palazzo Manfredi (book online) awesome Bar with the Colosseum View!
4. Visit Trevi Fountain early morning.
5. Aperitivo at Oro Bistrot Bar & Restaurant (book online) view of Vittorio Emanuele II Statue.
6. Aperitivo at Trevi Rooftop Bar (amazing view of the Trevi Fountain) walk in accepted.
7. Church Sant’Ignazio di Loyola, free entry!
8. Trevi Fountain, go to the side, it’s usually less crowded.
9. Lunch at Cafe Deroma, close to Trevi Fountain.
10. Spend Afternoon at beautiful Piazza Navona.
11. Picture perfect spot at the Colosseum!
12. Don’t miss to enjoy delicious Lemon Sorbet opposite Trevi Fountain!
13. Visit famous Spanish Steps.
14. Allocate one morning to explore Vatican.
15. Street art close to the Colosseum.
16. Visit Roman Forum, you can either do a full tour or just admire the view from the street.
17. Lunch at Napoletano’s with the view of the Pantheon!
18. Sunset at Ponte Sant’Angelo with Basilica di San Pietro view.
