The rich red and blue jersey has a Union Jack emblazoned on the back of the collar. Meanwhile the promotional shots on the sea have left us scrambling to book a flight back to the coast of Liguria. ❤️💙

At Destination Calcio we love to share the story of Pro Vercelli. The sleeping giant of Italian football with 7 scudetti in the trophy cabinet. 🇮🇹⚽️

The club is synonymous with Italian football legend Silvio Piola and the city itself is a hidden gem in the north of Italy, set between the famous rice fields of the region.

We discovered the city streets, local food and the fantastic matchday atmosphere during our visit last season. This is a club with a rich history and a community feel that has to go on your travel list. ✈️🇮🇹

This is a public service announcement for travelling calcio fans. ✈️🇮🇹

Unfortunately the spectacular scenes you see in the title image aren’t ones you can enjoy in person at the moment.

Like last year, Lazio fans are boycotting home games in 2026-27 and this means the historic Stadio Olimpico is barely hosting 7,000 fans for Lazio games when its maximum capacity is 70,000.

Despite a good start to the season on the pitch, times are tough for Lazio fans who just want to return to the stands.

At Destination Calcio we know that Lazio can provide one of the best atmospheres in Italy, and we highly recommend you experience it. With that in mind, stay tuned and we will let you know when things are back to normal at this giant of Rome. When that day comes, you will be ready to book the trip!
