Synopsis:
In Matera, a beloved tourist destination (and prey) as well as a prestigious film location — from Pasolini to 007 to Mel Gibson — an Australian director arrives with the intention of shooting a bizarre film: the first installment of a new “franchise” featuring a new secret agent… Jesus Bond.
Shot entirely in the stunning city of Matera and brought to life by a talented cast of Lucanian actors, the short film carries the authenticity, irony, and creativity of Southern Italy onto the global stage. With Andrisani’s signature touch of satire, the film playfully reimagines cinema’s sacred and profane legacies in an unforgettable way.
