Just one week ago, M6 aired an exclusive 45-minute immersive documentary inside .merano in Northern Italy’s South Tyrol region.

For the very first time in its 120-year history, the legendary medical spa opened its doors to a television crew, offering a rare behind-the-scenes look into its philosophy, treatments and daily life.

The documentary follows three very different journeys.

Discovering .merano for the very first time, double Olympic silver medallist in modern pentathlon, navigates the post-partum period with the ambition of preparing herself mentally and physically for future competitions, including Los Angeles 2028.

Alongside her, her partner double world champion in the same discipline, is also experiencing the Palace Merano approach for the first time. His challenge is entirely different: maintaining strength and muscle mass while addressing issues linked to acidity and recovery, whilst also preparing for the new modern pentathlon format where horse riding has now been replaced by obstacle racing, requiring new dimensions of explosiveness, rebound and power to be further refined and optimised.

And finally, artist who has been coming to .merano for more than ten years and who considers that the Palace teams helped save her life following a very severe burnout episode. Today, her deeply personal journey is driven by one powerful ambition: to continue painting well beyond the age of 80 or 85 while preserving the physical and mental vitality needed to fully pursue her artistic vision through time.
