This week, the world is watching Taormina.

To the notes that filled this theatre, Alta Moda has returned to where it all began: the Ancient Theatre, Isola Bella, the gardens on Mount Etna. Gowns built like architecture, an entire town turned into scenography.

But what makes a runway show unforgettable is not what you see. It’s what you don’t: months of backstage work, rehearsals, timelines to the minute, a silent direction no one notices and everyone feels.

It’s the same method I bring to every couture wedding I sign as a wedding planner in Taormina and Sicily, including destination weddings for international couples. You don’t copy the runway. You have your own tailored to you.

The first consultation is our first sketch.

There’s a rule backstage that nobody breaks, no matter what happens five minutes before doors open: the show must go on.

At one of my weddings, a vase the bride had carried all the way from New York shattered an hour before the reception. She had no idea, until I told her, after the wedding was over.

That’s the part of this job no one sees: the moment something breaks, and a team makes sure it never reaches the bride.

I carry that instinct into every wedding I plan. Not just the schedule, the composure behind it. The ability to absorb a problem before it reaches you, so your day keeps unfolding exactly as it should.

Catering off schedule → every detail recalibrated in real time.
