• From the Pen of Enrique Scalabroni: Alfa Romeo 8C Montreal 🐍

This one-off is the only Alfa Romeo barchetta ever built on a Montreal base.

Commissioned as a fully bespoke project, it features a hand-hewn aluminium body sculpted by Giorgio Giorda: a more aggressive interpretation of the original design.
Under the hood sits a 2.6-litre V8 derived from Alfa Romeo’s racing programme, closely related to the unit found in the 33 Stradale and producing around 260 horsepower.

Behind the success of Kind of Blue was a man who demanded from his cars the same perfection he chased with his trumpet: “They have to sing,” he used to say. Yet driving while Black and famous in America at the time came with risks: from unjustified stops in Malibu to the timely support of James Glickenhaus during his most famous crash, Miles’ cars tell a story of genius and excess.

His real dream? A Formula 1 Lotus. Not to race it,“just to look at it.”

Throwing it back to 1980 when racing legend Bobby Rahal rocked this Apple-sponsored helmet while behind the wheel of a Porsche 935 K3.

Rahal and co-driver Bob Garretson finished 2nd in the 1980 IMSA 5 Hour behind the 935 of John Fitzpatrick and Dick Barbour.
