I BELIEVE BEING A STAY AT HOME MOM IS A CALLING.
Not everyone is contented and happy here because we have different perspectives on life. Expectations and reality of life are different.
Being a Stay at Home Mom is selfless. Because if you decide to be a SAHM, it means you will leave your "freedom", your job, your friends, your old habits -- You will never be the same after you become a mother, as they say. And its always for the better because of our children. For me, the fulfillment of a Mother is still different so if I have to choose, I will still choose to be a Mother.
Stay at Home Moms often show that they are okay, that they can still do it, that they are happy even at home but the reality is, not all the time. Yes it's good to see your child smile Yes it's heartwarming when your kids hug you. Yes, it makes me proud to witness all your child's milestones. But sometimes we have to admit that we can't all. We are super-mom but we also need the help and support of the people around us to be happy.
Not all, can be a SAHM. Not all, happy to be a SAHM.
Whatever you feel, you shouldn't be judged.
Just Mom, as I always say. Not bad to treat ourselves once in a while. It's not bad to be happy even without kids sometimes. Not bad to take a walk once in a while. Not bad finding yourself lost since we became moms.
Just don't forget that you have to give back--because our kids need a happy, healthy Mom too. And that's you. Just always remember you are not alone in the battle of motherhood.
