On 18 May 2026, the fifth edition of the JAXURY AWARD 2026 took place, an international recognition dedicated to excellence that interprets luxury through the lens of Japanese authenticity. On this occasion, Ambientec was awarded the prize in the “Aesthetic” category for its ability to transform light into a sensory and cultural experience of the highest value. The award originates within the JAXURY cultural project, promoted by FRaU magazine with the support of Kodansha and the Agency for Cultural Affairs. The concept of JAXURY (Japan + Authentic + Luxury) defines a vision of luxury rooted in the values of authenticity, craftsmanship, comfort, and hospitality. In this context, Ambientec stands out for its ability to translate these principles into luminous design objects that combine advanced technology with poetic sensibility.

The Coupé stool perfectly embodies the evolution presented by Nagano Interior at Salone del Mobile.Milano 2026. One of the most recognizable pieces in the collection, it features the traditional Japanese Kokura-Ori textile, a 100% cotton fabric known for its compact, durable texture and distinctive weaving technique, which creates an elegant striped pattern with a subtle three-dimensional effect. The frame is crafted from Kusu (camphor wood), prized for its aromatic fragrance and rich texture achieved through the skilled handcraftsmanship of artisans, and is now available in two new finishes: Kuromon (Black Gate), a deep and sophisticated black, and Oborozuki (Hazy Moon), a light, refined tone inspired by the soft glow of moonlight filtered through the night mist. This reinterpretation expands the design’s expressive language while preserving the balance of craftsmanship, material research, and comfort that lies at the heart of Nagano Interior’s Wa philosophy.
