Lamborghini Urus Performante SUV is faster than an Aston Martin around Hockenheim - The Supercar Blog

A Lamborghini Urus Performante has just set a lap time around the German circuit of Hockenheim. Interestingly, the beefy SUV beat the time set by an Aston Martin Vantage. Sport Auto recently took the hottest version of the Urus SUV for a spin around the racetrack, clocking a 1 min 55.8-sec lap in the process, 0.1 seconds faster than a Vantage Roadster. Of course, there could be several factors that led to a slower lap time, including track conditions. Still, the latest feat is a testament to how well the Urus Performante handles corners. Besides having all-wheel drive, it packs a 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 engine that makes 657 hp and 627 lb-ft of torque. As a result, 0-60 mph comes up in just 3.3 seconds.

The Lamborghini Revuelto was unveiled back in March 29, 2023. However, the car is still under development. The final series production is expected to commence later. Hence, the Italian carmaker has been taking the supercar on a test at the Nurburgring. Now, a video of the same has been released on the internet. While the car sounds good, it is not yet clear on the lap timings of the car. The Revuelto uses an all-new powertrain that is claimed to be more powerful and lighter as well. The 6.5-liter V12 hybrid motor alone develops 813 HP @ 9,250 rpm and 535 lb-ft of torque. Thanks to the triple electric motor setup, the Revuelto develops 1,001 HP. Lamborghini has stationed two motors on the front axle and one motor is paired with the gearbox. Transmission duties are handled by an eight-speed dual-clutch gearbox. The 0-62 mph time is 2.5 seconds. The electrification era will spare no one, and now even the Italian carmaker Lamborghini has introduced the Revuelto with a hybrid engine. The Lamborghini Revuelto replaces the Aventador as the brand’s flagship supercar. Naturally, there is a massive hype surrounding it. Further, the company CEO Stephan Winkelmann has already revealed that order books are full till 2025. Source : CarSpyMedia / Youtube

16-year-old learning to drive in a Lamborghini Aventador SV - The Supercar Blog

Which was the car you took driving lessons in back when you were a teenager? I’m sure it wasn’t a Lamborghini Aventador SV, like this bloke. A 16-year-old was recently spotted driving an Aventador SV with a learner permit in Melbourne, Australia. According to Melbourne Car Spotters, he was picked up from school in the supercar, which is something we mortals can only dream of, let alone taking driving lessons in one. It has also been reported that the Aventador SV was being “driven sensibly”. Although, I’m sure the temptation of the flooring the throttle must’ve been strong. Despite its age, the Aventador SV is a serious piece of kit. The 6.5-liter V12 engine develops 740 hp, which enables the car to sprint from 0-62 mph in just 2.8 seconds. Its top speed is pegged at 217 mph. Source: Melbourne Car Spotters

Lamborghini's first electric car to be a 2-door SUV - The Supercar Blog

Lamborghini, a brand known for its high-performance supercars, is planning to enter the EV space with a brand-new model. It is said that the first electric car to roll out of Sant’Agata will be a 2-door SUV. According to reports, Lamborghini is working on a pure electric 2+2 grand tourer, which will sit alongside the next-gen Urus. It is expected to debut in 2028. Chief Technical Officer Rouven Mohr said, “There are things you can do with EVs that you can’t do with internal combustion-engined cars,” however, ” (it’s) not the right time for a full-EV Lamborghini sports car.” Lamborghini’s upcoming electric SUV is likely to share its underpinnings with future Porsche models. The new platform, dubbed SSP Sport, is already under development. It will feature an 800-volt architecture and support up to 350 kW fast charging. Lamborghini is undergoing a transformation as the brand transitions from the ICE era. Its latest model, the Revuelto, features a plug-in hybrid V12. The upcoming Huracan successor will also switch to an electrified powertrain. Its most popular model, the Urus, is also set to go electric. Source: Auto Express

Lamborghini Revuelto heads to the Nurburgring as road trials continue - The Supercar Blog

The Lamborghini Revuelto was unveiled on March 29, 2023. However, development on the car continues before series production can commence. The brand’s first plug-in hybrid supercar was recently spotted at the Nurburgring, which suggests that the chassis development team could be hard at work putting the final touches. The Lamborghini Revuelto is powered by a 6.5-liter V12 hybrid powertrain. It’s an all-new motor that is lighter and more powerful than its predecessor. The ICE alone develops 813 hp @ 9250 rpm and 535 lb-ft of torque. The engine is mated to an 8-speed dual-clutch transmission along with three electric motors – two on the front axle and the third paired with the gearbox. The combined output is 1001 hp. That being said, we don’t expect it to set a blistering lap time, at least not until Lamborghini builds a lightweight, high-downforce version. Source: .s.photos

This special edition Lamborghini Urus is only for Essenza SCV12 owners - The Supercar Blog

Lamborghini has unveiled a new special edition Urus Performante. Only 40 examples will be produced exclusively for Essenza SCV12 owners. The limited edition Urus Performante “Essenza SCV12” is inspired by its namesake track hypercar. It features several exposed carbon fibre exterior surfaces that be ordered in a gloss or matte finish. It also gets a carbon fibre bonnet, roof, rocker covers, mirrors and a carbon garnish between the tail lights. Customers can further personalize their Urus Performante with Ad Personam livery and custom body colours. Each car is equipped with 23-inch high gloss black wheels and black brake calipers as standard. However, customers have the option to select the type and colors of wheels and calipers. The interior is wrapped in Nero Cosmus Alcantara upholstery with carbon fibre trim and anodized aluminium elements. Each car comes with two celebratory carbon fibre plaques: one with the Lamborghini 60th Anniversary logo and the other with the vehicle number or the customer’s name. The Urus Performante is powered by a twin-turbo V8 engine that develops 657 hp and 627 lb-ft of torque, enabling the SUV to accelerate from 0-62 mph in just 3.3 seconds. You can no longer order a Lamborghini Huracan - The Supercar Blog

The Lamborghini Huracan is officially sold out, and you can no longer order one. Lamborghini has announced that it has stopped taking orders for the Huracan EVO and Huracan EVO Spyder, which means that production will soon draw to a close. As reported earlier, the Sterrato would be the last to use the legendary naturally aspirated V10 engine. Like most carmakers, Lambo is also transitioning to electrified powertrains, the latest being the Revuelto, which uses a hybrid V12. That being said, the Huracan successor is expected to be powered by a plug-in hybrid V8. While it may not sound as exciting as the V10, the new twin-turbo V8 is said to be capable of revving up to 10,000 rpm. Combine that with the instantaneous torque from the hybrid system, and we might have a winner on our hands. Now, if you were planning to purchase a V10 Lamborghini before they went extinct, you’re out of luck. You can either wait for the Huracan successor or browse the used car market. Source: CarBuzz

Purple Lamborghini Revuelto spotted in Colorado, USA - The Supercar Blog

A purple Lamborghini Revuelto has been spotted in Colorado, USA. The car appears to be on manufacturer plates, which suggests that this could be a press car. This makes sense as there’s still some time for customer deliveries to begin. The Lamborghini Revuelto made its official debut on March 29. One-off Lamborghini Autentica spotted for the first time! - The Supercar Blog

In February this year, Lamborghini surprised us all by unveiling two new one-off supercars: Autentica and Invencible. The former, which is an open-top roadster has been spotted for the first time. The Lamborghini Autentica was seen cruising around the Lamborghini factory in Sant ‘Agata. It seems the car had come out for a quick systems check. As you can see, it was covered in protective tape to avoid scratches and stone chips. The final spec looks identical to the digital renderings you may have seen before. The Autentica has a Grigio Titans exterior with Giallo Auge livery, while its interior is wrapped in Nero Ade leather and Nero Cosmus / Grigio Octans Alcantara with Giallo Ta**us for a bit of contrast. Powering the Autentica is Lamborghini’s venerable 6.5-liter V12 engine that puts out 769 hp and 531 lb-ft of torque. It is mated to a 7-speed ISR transmission which sends power to all four wheels. Lamborghini is also building a one-off coupe called the Invencible with the same engine and transmission. Source:

Lamborghini Huracan Tecnica in one-off Ad Personam spec delivered in Miami - The Supercar Blog

Steve Currington, also known as , recently took delivery of his Huracan Tecnica. It caught our attention due to its unique spec, which includes several Ad Personam options. Steve’s Huracan Tecnica was delivered by Lamborghini Miami in March. The car has a light blue exterior finished in what we believe could be the Blu Cepheus shade. It has gloss black elements on the front and rear bumper, a carbon fibre hood and a carbon engine cover. We think lighter colors really suit the Huracan Tecnica, as the Y-shaped graphics on the front help add a nice contrast. This special Huracan Tecnica gets a dual-tone interior with black Alcantara and light blue leather upholstery. The wheels are painted in gloss black, while the brake calipers match the exterior of the car. The Tecnica is the final iteration of the popular mid-engined supercar. It will also be the last model to feature the glorious V10 engine. The 5.2-liter block pumps out 640 hp and 417 lb-ft of torque. It is mated to a 7-speed dual-clutch gearbox, which sends power to the rear axle. Lamborghini claims the car will do 0-62 mph in 3.2 seconds and a top speed of 202 mph. Image credit: .by.kaleb

Hybrid Lamborghini Revuelto can still spit flames from the exhaust - The Supercar Blog

The electrification era will spare no one, and now, Italian carmaker Lamborghini has introduced the Revuelto with a hybrid engine. Now, the carmaker has released an ad for the car which shows the supercar in all its glory. The highlight of the short video is the fact that the car spits flames from the back. What does the Revuelto video show us? Lamborghini starts off the video by highlighting the electric nature of the car. The Italian carmaker claims this to be the first plug-in hybrid V12 engine. Further, Lamborghini claims the Revuelto’s power to be very high and it suggested using storm clouds. The next part of the video showcases the engine being assembled at a secret facility. Here, the engine is finally placed into the Revuelto. Once the engine is added, the car now wakes up and escapes from the secret facility. The car leaves with the engine screaming from all its 12 cylinders. As the Revuelto gets into the city, we notice the car spitting flames and sliding around corners before coming to meet a bull. This pays homage to the brand’s iconic history. Lamborghini Revuelto : Powertrain Details Lamborghini has equipped the Revuelto with a 6.5-liter LP545 engine. This is an evolution of the motor in the Aventador. In the Revuelto, this motor is good for 814 HP and 535 lb-ft. of torque. This makes the engine the most powerful Lamborghini V12 ever.
In combination with the electric motors, the Revuelto has a total power output of 1,001 HP. The 0-62 mph time is 2.5 seconds.
