Fifty years after his passing, we pay homage to Pier Paolo Pasolini—an exceptional poet, a visionary filmmaker, and a bold intellectual who fearlessly challenged power, society, and their deepest contradictions.
His tragic death in Ostia left an immense void in the cultural landscape, in Italy and far beyond. Pasolini was more than an artist: he was a sharp, courageous, and often prophetic voice. His work and ideas continue to resonate today with the force of someone who never ceased to pursue truth.

This special show on honors him through music, featuring a curated selection of soundtracks from his films—composed by legends such as Ennio Morricone and Piero Umiliani—alongside songs dedicated to him by international artists including Patti Smith, Fabrizio De André, Black Sun Productions.

A musical journey to remember, to reflect, and to celebrate one of the most influential figures of the twentieth century.

The new episode of our show on is a special feature dedicated to the collaboration between sound artist  and Italian industrial pioneer , who have recently released their album “Seti non tael tene” on Tocca il Futuro.

Their exclusive contribution for LYL, titled “Only Blue Is Not Enough,” unfolds as a true spin-off of the record, revealing its sources and inner resonances. Bianchi reworks tracks from his light ambient trilogy — Colori, First Day/Last Day, and Dates — using electronic keyboards to shape them into hypnotic cycles. Ponzini layers cut-ups of reworked texts drawn from Carl Gustav Jung’s Seven Sermons to the Dead (1916) and dialogues extracted from Pier Paolo Pasolini’s Teorema (1968). The texts are recited by AI-generated voices, while Ponzini blends her own voice with subtle Japanese percussions and the surface noise of an old Rainer Riehn vinyl.

Tocca il Futuro is pleased and proud to announce “Seti non tael tene”, its tenth cassette release: a unique project by Maurizio Bianchi and .

The encounter between Ramona Ponzini and Maurizio Bianchi for Tocca Il Futuro unfolds as a work suspended between evocation and vertigo – a sonic architecture built from noise, voice, and language collisions.
A pioneer of Italian industrial music, Bianchi sculpts dense, abrasive soundscapes that breathe like ruins of memory. Upon this fractured terrain, Ponzini layers voice and reworked texts – from haiku to cut-ups of sacred verses and film dialogues – forging an impossible language made up of anagrams, fragmented vowels and recombined consonants. Her Japanese vocal delivery becomes pure vibration, intertwining with Bianchi’s textures in a dialogue of density and fragility. The result: a liminal landscape of sound and vision, to be inhabited through deep listening and surrender.

We’re excited to announce that the new season on is kicking off with monthly episodes of Tocca il Futuro.

Opening this new chapter is Francesco Toninelli aka , a sound maker from Florence. His work centers on the discovery and reinvention of the past and its representations, the relationship with territory and environment, and vernacular culture. Always deeply connected to the materiality of sound and its interaction with other elements.

Expect a selection of mostly recently published music reflecting an incessant search for meaning beyond the act of understanding, a non-logocentric epiphany. A hallucination of feelings and signs, and the ways they cling to matter.

We’re closing out the season on with a deeply evocative journey guided by , the sonic moniker of Colombian-born artist Mónica Mesa.

Her work explores the emotional tonalities of liminal spaces through a delicate interplay of field recordings, slow-moving drones, whispered vocals, and sparse, reverb-soaked electro-acoustic instrumentation.

Named after Gabriela Mistral’s editor and confidante, Doris Dana traces the contours of quiet forms of intimacy and memory, offering sound as a medium for subtle connection and introspection.

Her latest release, reveries (Somewhere Press, 2024), invites listeners into a meditative, immersive experience, an album that resonates with stillness and sensation.

Welcome to the special Tocca il Futuro show on LYL radio, dedicated to David Lynch.

This is not just a tribute, it’s a journey into the sonic imagination of one of the most visionary artists of our time. The musical selection in this episode pays homage to Lynch’s universe, tracing his artistic path from his groundbreaking experiments in sound design—shaped alongside the legendary Alan R. Splet—to his musical explorations with unconventional artists and composers.

Let yourself be transported into a world where dreams and nightmares intertwine, giving life to brilliant visions—an experience that defies logic and awakens our deepest emotions just like his art!

Tracklist compiled and mixed by Davide Pestillo and Claudio Cuccovillo.

We are thrilled to reveal CQR, the ninth release from Tocca il Futuro and the latest visionary project from the extraordinary musician and visual artist, .

CQR, short for “C’est qu’il reste”, represents a bold new chapter in Veronese’s artistic journey, seamlessly blending the worlds of sound and visual art into an immersive, multi-sensory experience.

The music of CQR unfolds like an intricate tapestry, weaving ambient sounds that are sometimes abstract, sometimes tangible, reflecting the more intimate and enigmatic aspects of memory. His approach blends acoustic instruments with electronic textures, crafting an atmosphere that feels suspended between past and present, between what was and what could have been. This is not just music—it’s a reflection on time, memory, and the ways in which they shape our identities. An essential part of CQR is the seamless connection between the music and the accompanying visual artwork, both crafted by Veronese himself.

The album cover serves as a visual counterpart to the sound, capturing the blurred nature of memories and their constant evolution. The artwork features abstract details and dissolving forms, mirroring the fading and fluctuating nature of thoughts and emotions over time. The visual and sonic elements work in tandem, creating a rich, immersive experience that delves deeper into the concept of memory and its ephemeral quality.
